ANDROMEDA:

                     she  knows  it’s  probably  best  not  to  trust  leila,  as  it  seems  that  she  has  an  interest  solely  for  her  own  benefits,   but  it  wasn’t  the  time  to  be  picky  about  how  the  information  was  being  uncovered.  besides,  for  the  first  time  leila  seems  to  be  actually  sympathetic,  like  perhaps  she  wants  to  be  helpful.                 ❝    thank  you.  i  just  hope  i  haven’t  put  my  faith  in  the  wrong  person.    ❞

“no   !!    no,   of course not.    never.”    this is the most andromeda’s paid attention to her in     ...      well,     ever,     and leila’s not about to let this opportunity slip.     she’d do anything.     “you can trust me.   i     ...    i’ll go see what i can learn now   !!   i promise,     i’ll get something back to you.    i swear.”    she offers a little smile,     hopes maybe she can earn andie’s favor.    it’ll be worth it,    then,    betraying the others.

ANDROMEDA:

                      she’s  exasperated,  she  thought  for  sure  that  leila  would  have  known  something,  heard  or  seen  something  like  she  does  best.  andie  feels  dejected,  she  can’t  exactly  do  anything  about  it,  shameful  that  it  was  probably  something  to  do  with  her family.   she’s  heard  that  sirius  was  one  of  the students  that  was  injured  and  she  can’t  face  them,   hates  the  thought  that  perhaps  it  was  targeted,  a  punishment  for  running  away.               ❝    somebody  knows  something.  if  you  hear  anything,  you   –   will  you  find  me,   please   ?    ❞

leila kind of feels like she’s dreaming,      almost like she’s walking on clouds but she tries not to let her elation show.     she nods slowly.     “of      --     of course,   andromeda     !!    i’ll come get you right away.    um,    i’ll try to keep an ear out specifically for any dementor talk or     --     or planned attacks and i’ll tell you immediately.    you can count on me    !!”

ANDROMEDA:

                      ❝    dementors  in  the  school  is  not  acceptable  !   somebody  had  to  have  known  that  this  was  going  to  happen.   ❞               andromeda  hasn’t  slept  since  the  attack,  trying  to  help  as  much  as  she  can     –     she  was  no  good  at  comforting  people,  couldn’t  spend  her  time  reading  to  the  injured  in  the  hospital  wing,  but  she knows  people,  knows  how  to  get  information  out  of  them.  perhaps  she  can  find  out  something  important.              ❝     do  you  remember  hearing  anything   ?   even  if  you  think  it  was  idle  gossip,  it  may  be  important.    ❞ 

“no.   i   ...   i mean,   you know i listen.    i hear everything.   but no one talked about this.    if they knew,    they kept it quiet.”   leila responds,    and for once she’s being entirely honest;    perhaps if anyone else had asked she wouldn’t been more mysterious about it,    would have tried to get more attention out of it,     but it’s andie.   for some reason,   she feels that she owes andie this much.

“i was right there,    actually    !!”   leila says    --   though it’s not true,   of course   --  brushing a stray tear from her cheek.   “a dementor nearly had me.   luckily it didn’t,    but it’s so hard to forget ...”    /    ( @newagestarters​ )

LUKAS:

“Insecure? Why?” Lukas asked, confused by her sudden change of demeanor. “You don’t trust me at my word?” He smirked faintly, knowing he was basically a stranger to her even though they were from the same house.

“um,   no   ??”    leila frowns,   confused    --   clearly missing the jest.    “we don’t know each other.    besides,    actions speak.   not words.   or however that works.”

EMMELINE:

Emmeline just shook her head, deciding not to argue it anymore, seeing as Leila had covered up. “Just try to take other people into consideration. Nobody here has consented to see your ass or your tits, so just keep them covered.”

“ugh,   you’re so boring.”    leila sighs,   flopping into an open seat with a huff.   “just because you can’t dress,   it doesn’t mean you have to be rude to other people.”

BELLATRIX:

“You are quite something aren’t you.” Bella chuckles to herself. “I’ll definitely be keeping an on you.”

leila nearly releases a gasp in delight    --    but she decides against it,    not wanting bellatrix to dislike her so soon after admitting to liking her.   “well,    that’s    --      that’s very kind    !!    i promise,   i won’t disappoint you.    if you need anything,    anything at all,    let me know    !!”

RABASTAN:

Rabastan tilted his head to the side, just watching her for a moment “Are you certain you are not a Slytherin?” he asked before sipping his drink “I appreciate your enthusiasm to defend my House.”

“oh,   no   !!”   leila assures him with a little giggle,   flattered that anyone would think such a thing   --   especially a member of slytherin house  !!  “i wish   !!  i’ve always wanted to be in slytherin,   though.   but instead i’m stuck in hufflepuff.”

REMUS:

                    remus can’t stop himself from beaming,   bashful as the tips of his ears flush red.   realistically,   he’s been on one date with maddie,   and it’s not much at all,    but for somebody like remus,    who is hardly ever approached romantically,   he’s smitten already.              ❝   it’s…   it’s a relatively new thing,   actually.   i don’t even know for sure if she wants to go out with me again,    but….   but i really like her.  madeleine thibeau  –    ❞            he says,   cheeks already aching from the wide smile on his face.    even her name was beautiful.                ❝   are you friends with her  ?    ❞

leila’s frustrated now,    and her smile drops;    it’s not a look of anguish on her face now,   simply one of barely controlled anger.   she allows remus to finish,   and of course it’s maddie    --   it’s always maddie this,    veela this,     quidditch player this,     might as well be a member of the black family that    ...    but then,   that’s interesting information that someone might want to know.   and then leila smiles.   “well,    i’m quite happy for you,   then.   i’m sure she likes you very much   !!  no,   we don’t really speak.   i can be quite shy around other girls  ... ”

LUKAS:

Lukas smiled vaguely at the compliment, not entirely sure what to say next. “Well … I’m sure I’m not the first person to tell you that,” he offered, pretty sure someone who looked like her got plenty of compliments.

leila’s a little bored,  now  --   she’d expected something more from someone like him,   perhaps some flushed cheeks and awe that someone like her was speaking to someone like him.   she takes a bite into a little pastry,   then sighs. “oh,   no  ...   i’m not sure why,   though.   it’s made me quite insecure ...”

EMMELINE:

“Did I say the word slut?” Emmeline rolled her eyes. “You asked my opinion, and I gave it. I didn’t say you were a skank, just that the dress made you look like one. In the eyes of the school, at least. It’s not judgmental, it’s just a fact. Wear something like that off-campus if you want to avoid losing House Points.”

“so,    looking like a skank is a bad thing then   ??   because you’re certainly using it in a negative context.”   leila counters,   curling her jacket further around herself like a shield.   “really,   i wouldn’t have expected you to be so judgmental  ...”

BELLATRIX:

Bella’s face stays dead for about a minute or two before she bursts into laughter. “Oh Leila.” One of her hands are on Leila’s shoulder whilst the other pats under her eyes. “I truly love the enthusiasm. And of course I totally agree.” She still continues to laugh. “Maybe you aren’t so good after all.”

“oh,   no   !!”   leila’s relieved for the attention,   for the approval in bellatrix’s gaze and she basks in it like sunlight.   “of course not.   it’s a role i play,   and i take it very seriously.   i like to think of myself as an undercover agent of sorts.   they never expect me,   and i learn all i can from the inside.”

RABASTAN:

Rabastan considered simply nodding. But he had told himself that he’d try to be more social tonight, make an effort, so that he might keep his mind off things. “Oh but they’ll never shut up, will they? Once Slytherin wins, they’ll start shouting about how the team cheated somehow. There’s always something.” he stated as he shrugged one shoulder.

“oh,   well,   don’t worry   !!”   leila assures rabastan,   gleeful expression on her face as if they’d truly won the house cup,   giggling.   “i promise,    if i hear anyone from my house saying anything like that i’ll make sure to hex them until they change their mind.   i won’t let them trash talk slytherin like that.”

RUDY:

                    ❝   leila.   it’s sexy.   suits you.    ❞                 he grins,    settling closer against her,   eyes trailing over her face,    pretty plump lips and sharp eyes.    he worries his lower lip between his teeth,    lifting a hand so he can tuck her hair behind her ear,    dragging his fingers down along her neck.                 ❝     it’s rudy,     but i wouldn’t worry too much about remembering it,    babe        –      you’ll probably be so out of it that speech will be a problem for you.    ❞

“well.      i’m hard to impress so you’ll have to work to get that type of reaction out of me.”    leila replies,    so close that she can feel his breath fanning out across her face.    of course she knows there’s a chance he might not be pureblood    --     but does that really matter when she’s getting the attention she so desperately craves    ??   his eyes are on her,    only her,    drinking her in like she’s sweet nectar and she can’t get enough of it.

REMUS:

                   ❝  a date  ?  with….   with me   ?   ❞                remus is obviously stunned.    he was enjoying leila’s company,   but they’d only been speaking for a little while now.    she’s very beautiful,   and seems very sweet and kind,     so there’s really no reason why remus is hesitating    –    but there’s a soft voice is in his head giving him pause,    and the accompanying face has long blonde hair,    pretty lips painted red,    sharp features,   but a smile that makes remus’ heart flutter in his chest.    he licks his lips,    offering leila a warm smile,   hoping to let her down easily.                ❝   well,   um,   perhaps we can go for lunch,   but just as friends  ?    ❞

leila’s smile drops almost immediately    --   and she feels angry,     wants to scream   --   but she controls herself,   instead turning her expression into one of carefully practiced anguish.    “oh.   i    --   i hadn’t realized you might’ve been seeing someone.   but of course i should’ve expected it   !!   how could someone like you remain single    ??”   she smiles,     though tightly.   “ i apologize.   who is it  ??”

LUKAS:

“Nah. It’d take a lot to make you look awful,” Lukas assured her with a faint smile, appreciating the outfit in more ways than one. He didn’t want to be a sleaze but, well, she filled it out quite nicely, and he had eyes.

“you’re so sweet  !!   gosh,   i’d thought you’d be as nice as you are cute but i didn’t expect that.”    leila giggles,   clearly pleased with the attention.   and she’s happy to butter him up to continue receiving it.

BELLATRIX:

Bella looked confused for a second. She gives a cautious look to Leila. “What makes you say that?”

“well,   for starters there’s a bunch of mudbloods in that house.”   leila begins,   and she feels relieved to finally drop the facade.    it’s so tiring to pretend all the time.   “the colors are horrid,   they’re all such goody-two-shoes that if i do one thing out of line they’re scrambling to go tattle to the higher ups.    it’s suffocating.”
