“I don’t need to try anything. Now whether you like me when i’m angry or not... Only you know that.” Rabastan smirked as he finished his drink and crossed his arms behind his back “Oh? That’s odd. Was it not you that came here to talk to me? Or attempt to start a fight you can’t win, more like.” he rolled his eyes “You don’t intimidate me, Perrot, so cut it out and keep walking.”

the comment makes maddie laugh some,   genuinely,   and she smiles at rodolphus.   “well,   that’s alright.   the first step is admittance,   right   ??   and,  i mean,   there’s always the chance next month.   i for one would love to see their faces when these decorations change to green and silver …”

Rabastan smirked as he looked up at the decorations, then leaned slightly closer to whisper “I am tempted to change them now. Just to mess with them a little bit.”

Rabastan tilted his head to the side, just watching her for a moment “Are you certain you are not a Slytherin?” he asked before sipping his drink “I appreciate your enthusiasm to defend my House.”

“Perhaps it is. Hate, sounds too strong, doesn’t it? Despise is better.” Rabastan insisted with a shrug of his shoulders. He didn’t much care if anyone thought he hated the Gryffindors, but still, he didn’t want anyone to think he cared enough to hate them either.

We could always settle this with a duel.” He suggested, itching for an excuse to mess up the other boy’s face. 

“My feelings? That’s cute. You think i have those?” He stated as he tilted his head to the side slightly “When and where?” he agreed “Just make sure you remember i won’t stop myself from laughing if you run off crying.” he shook his head “What’s your deal with me, anyway?”

“Was it necessary to describe something so gruesome?” Rabastan huffed as he picked up a new drink and took a sip “You get away with it because of your name. As we all do. But i’d rather not draw attention to myself, if you don’t mind.” he stated.

He narrowed his eyes at the comment but decided to brush it off. “You want a round of applause?” he asked before sipping from the flask. “No, that comes with you being in my year and my house and sleeping across the room from me,” he spoke plainly. 

“Gryffindors.” He just said in response, with a shrug of his shoulders. “Who doesn’t want a round of applause? But no, i can do without.” he smiled, taking a sip of his drink “Exactly. Why is it such a big surprise that i’m talking to you, then? It’s... a party. I figured i could try it. Talking to people.” he explained, more quietly this time.

Remy laughed and punched Rabastan in his arm. “Good one Lestrange, you’re hilarious!” He said through gritted teeth as he sipped his whiskey and coke. “I wonder how hard my fist would feel in your face sometimes… Crazy, right?” 

Rabastan caught Remy’s arm when he was punched and pushed it away “Don’t touch me!” he snapped “You don’t want to mess with me, Perrot. I don’t need my fists to hurt you.”

Remy laughed and shook his head. He had no intentions of upholding Gryffindor values. “Wow, yeah. Just like you lot are little snakes in the grass. Stereotypes suck… Except looks like the ones about you are true.” He clicked his tongue and smirked. “What a surprise.”

“Is that supposed to be an insult? It seems there’s a lot you don’t know about serpents. I would attempt to educate you. But i wonder, if you would be capable of learning.” He returned the smirk as he tilted his head to the side.

Bella struts towards Rabastan and grabs his drink and finishes the rest for him. “Come on now Rabastan. I know there’s a little smile hiding somewhere,” her tone goes high and pokes him on the stomach. “Besides, seeing them this happy is such a beautiful sighting.” She grabs another drink and throws it within her system. “Just wait until their soul-less body lays down within your presence; we’ll see who will be dancing, smiling and be all jolly around.” Bella yet again takes another drink and throws it down herself. As much as she agrees on Rabastan’s feelings, she couldn’t let anyone else notice the fact she was being stubborn.

“Oh come on.” Rabastan huffed as he rolled his eyes “Must you do this? There’s plenty of drinks around for you.” he shook his head, looking around to get another “How much have you been drinking Bella? You’re not supposed to be saying things like that in here.” he made a look around if anyone was close enough to hear. Bellatrix could go around and say whatever she feels like. But he’s rather keep things quiet. “I don’t like them either. But this isn’t the place.”
