There's something so subtle yet powerful about this. It seems like a feeling in itself showing how immensely he cherishes her.

It takes only this to know he's crazily in love with her and can't stand to be away from her even if it's just an inch.

I know it seems highly unlikely as of now, but anything can happen since it's sjm.

Besides have you all ever noticed that none of the fae in acotar series have last names (except lucien and eris). Cassian, Azriel, Morrigan, Tamlin... only their first names have been mentioned.

Perhaps sjm has not yet given any indication of their last names because of the cresent city storyline.

You’re going to tell me that it’s always Poppy laying on Casteel’s chest? That Rhys doesn’t seek that sort of comfort with Feyre? I think one of the most underrated character from the Blood snd Ash series is Delano.

He is legit like a small kid who hates when his parents (Poppy and Casteel) fight.

"Please don’t fight atop the horse,” Delano called out. “None of us wish to watch Setti trample either of you.”

Delano pushed off the wall. “Please, no stabbing. All of that makes me anxious.”

"Please don’t stab him in this tunnel,” Delano called out.

"Better than them fighting,” Delano remarked.

Remember the scene where Casteel and Poppy were traveling to Spessa's end for the first time from New Haven.

When Poppy asked him about Shea and how he said- “Everything that has rotted in my life has been tied to the Ascended”.

And how Poppy said back- "I’m tied to the Ascended".

THAT. That is that is the entire scene I desperately want from Casteel's Pov.

I need to know if Casteel did feel conflicted as he started developing feelings for her. And I NEED to know what went through his mind when she said that. And also why he remained so reserved for next few days.

ACOTAR Headcanon

I think that Rhys' father loved his mate and daughter. I know that Rhys says the bond chose wrong. But seriously tho, he was a 900 year old High Lord. 9 centuries worth of experiences and ideology imbibed within him, how much and how quickly could he possibly change.

And don't forget he was a High Lord. He too had to deal with the Court of Nightmares plus the War. He never stopped his mate from doing whatever she wanted. He did not even stop her from taking Rhys to Iilliriya.

And I think it was him engulfed in pain of loosing his baby girl and mate that led him to slaughter Tamlin's entire family.

I can imagine him welcoming Tamlin's killing strike in hope that he might finally go where his daughter and mate are.
