WASHINGTON, D.C. â Today, the U.S. House of Representatives voted 211-204 to pass HR 845, the Pet and Livestock Protection Act, which would
Republicans managed to pass the anti-wolf bill in the house
If you wanna keep wolves protected across the 47 states, take action and contact your senators. Link is above.
Conservatives not doing some evil shit for one day challenge: impossible
I hate having crushes on real people in my personal life. Itâs infinitely more crippling than fictional characters and celebrities.
fuck hes gorgeous
I grew up in a Christian family in Mosul Iraq. The people of that city HATED religious minorities, and there were plenty of us. Thereâs a reason it was the only city that fell to ISIS control. What people know is that ISIS brought destruction and genocide, what they donât know is that ISIS was welcomed with open arms. They werenât the first, they were just the best at what theyâve done. Our neighbors, coworkers, classmates and âfriendsâ all hated us. Theyâd invite terrorists into their homes. Gave them civilian clothes, food, shelter, and intel. What houses were Christian, Yezidis, Mandeans. They knew ISIS would break down the local government, take control of schools and public offices. They knew ISIS was a terrorist group, armed vigilantes with extremist views who sought to kill. None of it matter. They viewed us as roaches, and had to exterminate us by any means necessary, even if it meant setting the house on fire. Little did they know, once we were gone, ISIS stayed. They were stuck. Couldnât leave, couldnât live as they once did. ISIS fighters didnât get jobs and work, they forced the people to fund them instead. When poverty and starvation hit, they realized their mistake, but it was too late. They lost their doctors and lawyers, they lost their farmers and college professors, and gained armed foreigners who understood only cruelty. It was too late. They suffered, and it was entirely their fault. By the time ISIS took control we were already in the US, but still followed the news there. You shouldâve seen the look on my brothers face when several members of ISIS in leadership position got killed by the Iraqi army, and one of them was his middle school best friend. One of the few boys who didnât mind befriending the Christian outcast. The neighborhood handyman whoâd been in our own home many times, for years broke bread with my family, fixed our washing machine and helped my dad find a good contractor to lay the tiles in our home, was also on that list. He had become famous because he was good at beheading infidels.
This is happening in America. Sure itâs not ISIS, but zoom out. Theyâre trying to get rid of term limits, some of them actively demanding he becomes king. Checks and balances are out the window and Trump is legislating now via executive orders. The Supreme Court is in his pocket and so are many judges. Iâve seen MAGA before, in the smiling faces of those same people who destroyed the land of my ancestors for thousands of years. Theyâre laughing now, the roaches are burning, but when all is done, theyâll find that the America they loved is also burnt. Thereâs nothing left. Just them and their regrets, squatting in the ashes of the America they tried to make great again. Youâre poor and frustrated, but your anger is misdirected. You think Trump is there to protect you, he is not. You wear his shirts and hats, cover your car in his bumper stickers and your porch with his flags, but that love is not reciprocated. He will bleed you dry like ISIS bled Mosul dry. The US government structure, for all its flaws, is a beautiful thing. A self correcting mechanism to ensure that this country can always move forward. He convinced you that itâs a bureaucratic, inefficient system and you believed it, heâs setting it on fire and you cheer, but youâre still poor. Youâre still sick. Youâre still overworked. When all the migrants have been deported, youâll still be poor and sick and overworked. It may be impossible to appeal to the sense of humanity of a hateful heart, but how can anyone appeal to the sense of self preservation of a useful idiot?ïżŒ
If media training gets anywhere near this man I will flip shit

Iâll believe this propaganda when I see researchers get paid a fraction of what grifters and influencers make.
I promise you, whoever slaved night and day to come up with the Covid vaccine while in an active Covid pandemic, did not make more than your average âdonât take the vaccine! Use my coffee worms and baby vomit enemas and eat only dry bones and youâll never get sickâ influencers.
This one goes out to all the incels: if you REALLY want women to like youâŠwell hereâs how.
The affect, influence, and coercion are targetting health insurance greed and inefficiency.
That's the crime.
The fourth branch of government is apparently corporate twats.
Why do they keep accidentally making him look like the coolest person alive donât they want us to hate him
I donât think thereâs a single man in America who currently has the same sex appeal as our lord and savior the adjuster.
Motherfuckers keep defending strawman points that they made up just to kiss the ass of a dead billionaire that wouldnât piss on them if they were on fire.
The FUCK do you mean âfree healthcareâ? You think these people wrote him âdear Santaâ letters begging for free money? These folks bought insurance policies, and have been paying premiums every goddamn month. Even in conservative standards, theyâre entitled to the coverage they paid for. Come to find out that the business model is âdelay, deny, defendâ and theyâre being scammed.
âOr are you admitting that youâre no betterâ
Disrespectfully, shut the fuck up. Why are the victims always expected to take the high road or else their grievances donât matter? Why is him being a monster overlooked but we have to be absolute angels? Itâs 2024. Weâre no longer being the better person, weâre matching energy.
If taking fruit from a public tree is stealing, wouldnât breathing oxygen made by said tree also be stealing? Or is the morality line drawn right where that guyâs interests end? This is the same energy as people who canât procreate calling for abortion bans. The same energy as a cis woman being a TERF. These fuckers like to believe theyâre moral by policing âsinsâ that donât apply to them. âStealing foodâ is bad because they donât have to do it, but if they ever fell on hard times suddenly their moral compass will break and stealing will be ok, but theyâll find something else to demonize. Just to have someone to point at and call inferior.
Elon reaaaaaally wants to be president, but since he wasnât born in the US, heâll settle for second best thing.
Yoooo question for you Mr archaeologist: is there any insider field tea you can share with us peasants? Is there anything archaeologists are currently arguing over like theyâre willing to die on the hill of âthis person wasnât buried in a ceremony, he fell in a ditch!â Type of drama? I love academia drama
Alas, while I am absolutely privy to some academic drama, most of it is within my department and would be highly unprofessional of me to share. The debates over findings are like the part of the iceberg you can see peeking out of the water, and then the interpersonal tensions are everything else.
This is why it's a good idea to talk to current/former grad students when deciding on a program, because we're the ones who will tell you who to steer clear of. Professors can do this too, but their hands are tied in ways that grad students' sometimes aren't. I chose not to apply to study with [redacted] because of his reputation for treating grad students extremely poorly.
-Reid
I mean, absolutely that, but for actually published academic drama may I recommend the going-on-twenty-years discussion on when the bloody Thera eruption happened?
The short version of which is: this eruption is incredibly important because it happens right on the brink of a new chronological phase, but two different dating methods give two different dates, that may deviate by as much as 200 years, which is way too much for comfort for the Aegean Bronze Age.
There is also the fun and completely inconsequential discussion on this one specific sculpture (the Faun Barberini) that revolves solely around the question from which animal the pelt he's lying on originates. But I'm not even sure whether this was ever written down or whether it was all verbal.
(It's a wolf by the way and anyone who thinks it's a leopard because of normal iconographical conventions doesn't have eyesđ)
See this is what Iâm talking about lol
lili reinhart they could never make me hate you or even slightly dislike you đ€
