They are all very young (the eldest is eighteen years old) and have recently stated their producer has been abusive towards them (beaten them/verbal abuse/threatening/etc). They are going to sue because they cannot endure this behavior any longer. Thankfully they are safe and a member who requested it is receiving therapy. TheEastLight, a boy band, got abused (physically and mentally) to the point they had to hold a conference about it. Their producer Moon Youngil (corrected) has bloody hands. CEO Media Line Entertainment Kim Chang Hwan watched them being beaten up. For 4 years. This is not right. NOT AT ALL.

You might think: But my favs company is the best, they give them money, they are nice to them etc… NEVER TRUST COMPANIES. All they want is money. Every trainee owes them tons of Korean won. I won’t give you examples but you can clearly see who is still in debt: they milk the money 24/8.

Even if you don’t know this band, please spread the awareness somehow. This is a big business. No heaven. Anything can happen and trainees are mostly kids. This is unacceptable. I am so sorry TheEastLight. Be happy in the future.

Stray Kids X Male Fans

So something cool that Naver TV does is show you the demographics for people who comment on videos. For a rookie boy group, and even just a boy group in general, Stray Kids has a lot of fanboys/male viewer engagement! Here’s some of the statistics for their KCON performances (they’re quite high numbers):

Just a little fun statistic 😊 My own ‘analysis’: I think since their music isn’t centred around loving a girl, but instead has more universal messages, their songs can be relatable for both girls and guys. They’ve never been marketed with a ‘boyfriend’ concept, but rather they’ve always just had this image of being a bunch of relatable guys sharing their experiences and having fun, which in my opinion can be attractive to any gender. ☺️

thank you for your endless hard work and perseverance. Your smile is enough to light up my day and make me swell with joy. I’m always astounded with your growth and I can’t fathom how you must’ve felt when you first landed in Korea, not knowing if you would make it. But you did it. You debuted.
