I’m reading the book of Jeremiah and here’s my conclusion, which shouldn’t even be a surprise to anyone. God is a God of justice. He is near the oppressed and stands against the oppressor. God himself went against His own people for acting unjustly in the land He brought them into.

You might be part of the Church but if your life reflects oppression, hatred, love of money over love of God and others, show favoritism and discriminate against a certain group of people - God will surely stand against you.
