The Obama Administration is looking to cap public interest loan forgiveness at $57,500. THIS IDEA IS TERRIBLE!

Here is why:

The Numbers: Law school costs upwards of $150,000. Graduate programs can run you $50,000. Undergraduate is around $100,000. 

The Current Program: For people who work in the public interest (basically, people working for non-profits and government), after 10 years of work, your federal debt is forgiven. 

What This Change Will Do: Basically, anyone that wants to use their very expensive education to do work in the public interest will not get their federal loans forgiven. These people (self included) will get pushed into the private sector at least temporarily in order to get out from under crushing education debt. The longer you work not in your actual field, the harder it becomes to move into it. 

New students will not seek out higher education to do the work they want to do, and the interplay between theory and practice will be further weakened. 

This change punishes economically disadvantaged people that want to serve their communities. This change is the opposite of community service the Administration promotes. This change is going to drain the public interest community of many excited and passionate people that simply cannot afford to take on or live under massive amounts of debt.

TL;DR: Please sign this petition to help those people committed to the public afford to do their very important work.

Actually the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle has been given a scientific explanation: methane vents which have been discovered in that region. 

Methane reduces the density of water, causing ships that would normally float, to instead sink.

Methane, when in gas form, messes with the electrical components of aircraft, causing them to fail and sometimes fall right out of the sky.

Methane also causes the water to turn a ghostly greenish color, and the “ghost ships” reported to be seen are simply green reflections of the ships that scatter the bottom of the triangle.

A Memory of Skin

Castiel kept his memories with Dean in his skin, where he could keep them safe beneath the trenchcoat. He could not keep them in his Grace. Grace connected the angels; linking them thoroughly. Putting Dean there was risky. Castiel did not want to lose his family, and he did not want to share. Only Balthazar knew from a causal touch when Cas’s armor was off. Castiel had worried if Balthazar could keep his secret.

Dean kept his memories with Cas in his skin, where they were safe. The people he kept in his mind always ended up the victims of his story. In his skin, Cas was safe from that. Safe from Dean. In his skin, Dean was safe from thinking about why kept those memories of Cas. Dean wondered if Sam could see Cas written all over his body.

The memories they kept were not the big ones; not the epic tales of fighting and loss and redemption. It was that time in the motel that Dean got a papercut while sealing up another credit card application. He had cursed and whimpered, and Castiel did not understand how something so small could feel so big, especially to someone that had been wounded far more than this. He had healed it nonetheless. It was the time on a case that Cas accidentally turned on a shelf of vibrators, and Dean could not stop laughing. And the way Cas had asked the shopgirl what they were for and how he looked when she explained, and Dean could not understand how someone so old could be so fascinated by something so new, especially to someone who must have seen so much.
