Considering Moroccan Seating For The Home?

I've considered getting some Moroccan seating for the home before. However, I've not taken the plunge on it yet. My parents on the other hand happen to be a bit more adventurous than I am as they are planning to get some brand new furniture. And since they came across some lovely Moroccan seating recently, they are actually considering getting that as replacement for our 10 year old couch.

Which left me feeling a bit uneasy as I know that my dad can get a bit overload when it comes to buying stuff for the house. While mum is a bit more cautious when it comes to managing funds, dad tends to want to get the biggest or best (whatever that could fit into the living room space!). And looking at the way things are going, I may end up having to foot the bill.

Now that wasn't so much of a concern for me. What I would not want to see is my parents' house turning into a Moroccan antique house if they were to overdo it on the new Moroccan home decor.

Anyway, if they are planning to get it, I'd want to make sure that it was both artistic and comfortable to sit on. And hopefully my parents won't clean out my credit card in their shopping spree to get new furniture for the house.

Round Or Square Moroccan Tables?

What a predicament I'm in. Trying to decide which would be better. Either I get a square Moroccan coffee table or a round one? Of course a square one will look great for the living room but the round one will fit just nicely outside where I can enjoy the fresh air and have a cuppa during the weekend.

Whoever said choosing Moroccan tables was easy? Maybe I'll just get both during the sale period. Shouldn't be a problem then. I'll also have to figure out what type of chairs or seating will go well with the tables that I've chosen. Wouldn't want them to look like a complete mismatch.

You could probably tell that I'm in my shopping mood now. Didn't want to get the same old boring stuff for the house. Guess when we all reach a certain stage in our lives, we tend to want or crave fresh new things even more. Nuff said...

Thinking Of Ideas While Soaking In The Tub

Ever get one of those days where your mind is completely slushed? Too much work at the office and by the time you get home, all you want to do is soak in the tub hoping that it will help you get away from reality for a while.

Anyway, I recently got myself a really nice soaking tub. All those times spent traveling from hotels to motels have made me detest these places. So when I'm back home, I'd like to relax in my own bathroom and get my mind back on track.

There's only so much that I could get done in a day without feeling burnt out. So while I'm soaking away in there, I try to train my mind to think of some creative ideas or fun things to do when the weekend hits.

If I'm going to be working like a dog during week days, I'd at least like to have some fun to unwind during the weekend. Otherwise, life seems pretty meaningless. I have in mind to do some much needed home renovation. Minor ones here and there. Just to spruce up the house a bit.

So at least when family or friends come a calling when they are in town, they won't think that I'm living in a shack. Maybe you can share some of the creative ideas that have popped up in your mind?

Some of mine was to re-do the entire bathroom. I started with getting a really modern bathtub. Next on the list would be to ditch all the old sofa and get me a real comfy leather sofa massage chair. Thinking of pure bliss when I can get a nice massage every time when I'm home after a good soak.
