This comic takes place in the game Stardew Valley. Max after graduation university gets her “dream job” at Jojo corporation as an accountant only to realize that she wasted 5 years of her life trying to get somewhere within a lifeless greedy corporate world.

She receives the inheritance letter from an anonymous source stating her grandfather wishes for her to inherit his land, a land that was once alive and running successfully untill her grandpas passing.

Taking a risk she decides to quit and escape her toxic relationship to live in pelican town without thinking of ever getting into a relationship untill she meets this broke writer aka Elliot.

Jimmy and curly friendship dynamic

Things I assume about them:

Jimmy probably somehow sneaked in a stash of cigs and nicotine gum in case curly confiscate them which is likely what happens since he somehow 3 months into thier work trip and he reeks of cigarettes (bro barely showers probably)

He probably sneaks in alcohol too

Curly disproves obviously but doesn’t stand up to him as his captain and doesn’t really use his authority or anything like that even if he breaks the rules ( feel like that’s pretty obvious form the story line)

They probably argue a lot but curly never really wins any of those fights.

Jimmy gaslights him into letting him win or just simply walks away cause his ego can’t handle it
