something i love about majima’s introductory scene in kiwami 1 is that he warns kiryu about how dangerous it is for people like them to be soft, bc that sounds like a taunt, but y0 reframes it when we learn that shimano specifically chose majima to put a hit on makoto bc he knew he was too soft to do it. he doesn’t have any problem with beating a man nearly to death, only stopping when kiryu makes him, bc having compassion cost him everything. i feel like he’s genuinely worried about that happening to kiryu. BUT he’s also impressed that kiryu actually does stick to his ideals when majima gave up on them. kazumaji you are so dear to me
