Lily shrugged as Mr. Cat chose to stay in the trees rather than joining her and Bandersnatch on the ground. Well as long as he was coming it didn’t matter— they had a companion for their trip! Lily slung an arm around her pet’s neck and began to skip, dragging him along as they followed the cat.
She found Mr. Cat to be quite interesting. How did he manage to hide so well? Did he always hide from people? Lily didn’t see why he’d hide from her; she thought she was a rather nice person, and things were more fun if there was more than one person, so why? She mulled things over as they made their way to the little king’s castle, and when she couldn’t come up with anything, Lily called out to the feline.
“Hey, Mr. Cat! Where did you come from?”
The basics would be a good place to start.
Cheshire wasn't surprised to hear the young girl pipe up again not even five minutes into their walk. He could tell that she was quite talkative due to her very bubbly personality. The complete opposite of his own, which irked him slightly. If I met another the same as me though, The Cat thought to himself, I'd probably kill them.
"Where did I come from?" Cheshire repeated, seemingly asking himself. He wasn't entirely sure, to be honest. As far back as his memories would take him, he was in his forest. The closest thing he could call family was Alyss, though he knew she couldn't possibly be his mother.
"The trees." He replied simply. That was the best answer he could think of. Now, it was his turn.
"What about you? I pride myself in knowing most of Wonderland's inhabitants, but...you're strange."
