I'm not really sure why I wrote this, but I thought it would be nice?? Or maybe I was just bored lol. Anyways, here's a get to know me related to my stories and fandoms in general! ❤️
What’s your name, and where are you from?
My name is Bárbara Mika. I’m from Brazil, but I live in Chiba, Japan.
Which fandoms are you in?
A lot, and my obsessions tend to shift over time. My main favorites are Daredevil, Punisher, and Batman. I enjoy Marvel and DC in general, of course. :)
I also love anime, manga, Thai BL dramas, and Harry Potter. There are others too, but those are the big ones. I should also mention that I’m a huge fan of horror movies and everything related to them.
Do you take prompts?
If it’s from a fandom I know, like, and ship, then yes! I can’t promise I’ll take every single request, but my inbox is open.
Can you beta my story?
Sorry, no. I don’t have enough experience with that, and I’m not a native English speaker.
Can I translate your work, make fanart, or podfic?
Yes to all three, as long as you let me know beforehand and give me proper credit.
You write a lot. Why is that?
First, because I love writing. :) Second, because it’s an outlet for my own struggles. I’ve been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and writing helps me cope.
Is that why your stories often include triggers?
Yep. Art imitates life, and I write for myself first. If other people enjoy what comes out of that, that’s just a bonus!
Do you have a writing schedule or structure?
Honestly, no lol. Sometimes I start with a basic idea or plot I want to deliver, but most of the story unfolds naturally as I write. I usually write straight through rather than jumping around with random scenes. Other times, I have a specific scene in mind and build a plot around it.
What I never do is outline a clear beginning, middle, and end. I know that’s not ideal, and sometimes I repeat myself, but I treat writing as a hobby, not an obligation. I honestly envy people who can plan like that, but I just go with the flow of whatever I’m feeling at the time. That’s why I sometimes add fluff or angst where I hadn’t intended. Lol, in short, I’m not really an example to follow.
When do you usually write?
Mostly on my days off, or whenever I can squeeze in the time. Sometimes during my lunch break, or even while I’m cooking dinner and waiting for the water to boil or the air fryer to beep. lol
Will you post another chapter of “X” story or write a sequel?
Not really. I mean, there’s always a chance, but for the most part I prefer working with one-shots. I have a tendency to procrastinate, so I’d rather focus on something I know I can finish than promise something I might not be able to deliver. The only exception right now is Rainy Days, which I mentioned in the summary.
Speaking of Rainy Days, will you introduce Dick in an extra chapter?
That’s the plan, yes, and I’d love to make it happen. I don’t have a set date, but I’ve definitely thought about writing Bruce finally adopting Dick. :)
Where do your ideas come from?
Usually from song lyrics, movie scenes, or random lines I stumble across in daily life.
Favorite and least favorite tropes?
Love: enemies to lovers, arranged marriage, Stockholm syndrome (sorry not sorry), jealousy, secret relationship, ex to lovers
Not a fan of: not really hate, but I don’t enjoy overly sexual omegaverse with completely vulnerable omegas, soulmates, r*pe or any kind of sexual assault, torture, or deathfic
Favorite ships:
Frank Castle/Matt Murdock, Bruce Wayne/Clark Kent, Jason Todd/Dick Grayson, Bruce Wayne/Hal Jordan, Logan/Scott Summers, Bucky Barnes/Tony Stark, Shinazugawa Sanemi/Giyuu Tomioka, Uchiha Madara/Senju Tobirama
Feel free to ask any more questions! I love making friends with people who share the same interests! Thank you to everyone who’s read even a single one of my stories, it means a lot!
