My entry for Electi’s 2025 paint and post. I experimented with a super limited palette of paints, as I’m trying to dewire my brain from the “paint by numbers” techniques I was brought up on.

First dude from the Elden Ring board game.
Mechs for Flames of Orion
My first Relicblade models!
And some baddies…
My first 54mm Inquisitor warband, and their first adventures.
Eldar Rangers and Farseer. Found in a box of my lil' brother stuff, covered with thick paint and rejuvenated with biostrip. My first squad painted entirely with oil paints (other than an acrylic zenithal).
Painted the first three teams for my fantasy sportsball game: CRUDBUCKET Get the early access version of CRUDBUCKET here: https://planetsmashergames.itch.io/crudbucket Models by Torchlight (from their "Underworlds fantasy football team" collection).
Finished a massive terrain kit that my friend had stashed in his pile for the better part of two decades. Hands-down the worst kit I’ve ever assembled.
Rangers of the North, warband for Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game. Models are Nights Watch from A Song Of Ice And Fire.
The shouting chap with the straw hair and the sword and dagger looks like Aragorn to me.
Acastas Knight, Adeptus Titanicus.
Warlord Titans, Adeptus Titanicus. Gosh these models were fun to build and paint.
Undercoated German Red Brown primer. Stippled with Warlock Bronze, drybrushed with silver. Panels were Vallejo Extra Opaque Heavy Red and Heavy Charcoal, stippling up with brighter reds and blue-greys. Oil pin washes and weathering powers.
My first time applying water-slide transfers since I was about 12. First experience with Micro Sol was very positive. Three coats of MicroSol then varnish and weathering made the transfers melt into the model.
Thought for the day: I have never varnished a model more times than these guys.
Chaos Warlord Titan, 1988 model.
A Thousand Points of A Thousand Suns for Warhammer Forty Thousand.
My first speedpaints for Aeon Trespass. Mostly GW contrast paints.
Pukeapocalypse
In June of 2017, I visited Warhammer World. As a birthday present to myself, I bought a clutch of the awesome Forge World fimir warriors. Five years later, the muse finally gripped me to finish the warband.

My girls are moving bedroom, and Audrey (3) requested the new wallpaper have “sea creatures”.
