👋 Hey, I’m Jack.

I live out 'round Driftveil in Unova. Not in Driftveil but nearby.

I work in counter-terrorism for the Unovan Federal Government. So while I can't say much I'm pretty much the one who deals with the eco/pokemon based terrorism wherever I'm sent or permitted to go.

Technically you could call it law-enforcement but I'm not a cop, the police don't like me that much either.

My permanent pokemon team consists of:

Rook (Lucario, M) – "Your Honor, he’s my emotional support hand-to-hand combat specialist." Would be the responsible one if he wasn’t also an enabler.

Shade (Greninja, F, Shiny) – Stealthier than the IRS. More competent than me and she knows it.

Rett (Garchomp, M) – If you hear a sonic boom and I don’t post for a few days, assume he's the reason. Reigning champion of crashing into walls.

Sylvester aka Sylvie (Umbreon, Intersex, Shiny) – A shadow with an attitude problem. Sneaky little shit.

Often I'll be assigned additional pokemon depending on the needs of the mission. All those listed above are legally registered to me and will stay with me even if I leave my job.

Also expect to see some rescued pokemon from terrorist groups or gangs often. I frequently send rescued pokemon to my friend up north past Opelucid to rehabilitate and I also visit often.

What You Won't Find Here:

The name of my unit, my full job title, or anything that would get me hauled to a windowless room for 'a conversation.'

Anything self-incriminating (I’m not an idiot).

No, I won’t tell you how to evade law enforcement. If I do, it’ll be bad advice.

If you ask if I work for the League, I’m blocking you out of spite.

If you're here to tell me 'but actually, Pokémon training should be about love and friendship', cool, but also, tell that to the guy last week who tried to stab me. Love and friendship didn’t stop him, but a well-placed Aura Sphere did.

Serious Note: While I will investigate any tips (anonymous or not) about crime nationally (Unova) or internationally (will take much longer) I do not recommend seeking action through Rotomblr. Please contact your local authorities. If the situation is big enough I might be contacted by them anyways. Please do not take advantage of this by giving me fake information, I investigate everything and wasting my time on fake news helps no one. In some cases it takes my attention away from potentially life saving information.

I am an adult, that does not mean my account is 18+ but beware of mature themes. I keep a very "yes, and-" attitude about canon. I try to stick as close to canon as possible with a few exceptions mostly for pokemon biology. I fill in a lot of blanks left in the canon for my character, mostly around regional governments, politics, crime, etc. I rarely interact with blogs including things like fakemon/pokefusions, custom regions, or wildly out of canon things. I'm iffy about pokemon with blogs but some of them get a pass (like that rotom blog). I'm also open to suggestions about how I fill my canon gaps if you have a fun idea. Mostly just the story! I decided my character’s love interest should already be a friend at the beginning and I also changed a bit of Jack’s personality and appearance. Im also posting a lot more art this time! I initially had a plan to post a piece every day but after like 4 I got super busy lol

Really I restarted because I hated most of the posts I had made and wanted to get rid of all of them..

Apparently one of the Plasma Sages is working with the mafia or something to get out of Unova, so he doesn’t have to face justice? Or something like that…??

Oh and I guess I’ve heard of general petty crime in the region, but by the sounds of it that’s not your kind of thing lol.

We actually already have a TF working on that, can't say much since I'm not on that one but as far as I know they're getting close. and you'd be right, local law enforcement (cough cough cops) are the type for petty crime.

oh yay! thank you for welcoming me!! and of course i can, i love talking about them. i wish they were here with me right now, but im just a bit stuck where i am, so they're safe at home lol.

im not exactly sure what you're looking for so lemme know if you still have questions afterwards.

my unfezant, skids, i found near the outskirts of lostlorn forest, though i originally found her as a tranquill. she's a runner, that's for sure. love's it a lot, and she's fast too. that's where she got her name. a bit unfortunate though, because my family lives in an apartment in Nimbasa city, so she can't just run around in our non-existent backyard.

she's a very good companion and has helped me a lot throughout the years she's been with me and i really appreciate her a lot.

my krokorok found me, actually. bit my leg good. i basically adopted him after that, and coincidentally didn't mention getting bit to my parents. he doesn't bite me anymore, but he can always tell where i am, and is very helpful in telling me when something living is nearby, when im out at night. nudges my leg and points his snout towards the person or pokemon. it's kept me out of a lot of dangerous situations. my little infrared camera.

my volcarona, flicker, was given to me as an egg by some guy off of route 18. kinda suspicious now that i think about it, but i think the guy meant well. what i hadn't expected was the fact that she was very small when she hatched. id done research on larvestas and volcaronas and they're usually not able to fit into your hand. she mustve been a runt or something, but she's the best i could ever ask for. she's set my room (and hair!) on fire a couple of times, and she really loves to perch herself near my head. i think her favorite spot is the crook of my neck. its uncomfortable for me but hey, she likes it, so..

she's a bit skiddish around strangers, so while she might look like a fluff ball, maybe ask before trying to pet her lol.

sed is my crustle, and i found him in the same place i received flicker. He's been digging up the sand near the road. he didn't have a shell at the time so if i had to guess it probably broke? either way, i was able to get him a nice stone, and once he had his new home, i kinda just left it at that. anyways, he followed me back, and so i figured it'd be safer for him to not wander around the city.

their registration took awhile but i don't regret it one bit. they're family, and i wouldn't have it any other way.

Sounds like you take good care of them! My friend has a rescue ranch up north past Opelucid if you ever need a place to let your Unfezant run loose for a bit.

I think there’s a few pokemon parks around Nimbasa too which are usually great for rowdy pokemon.
