âDrinkâs on you, dinnerâs on me. I could eat a horse right now â anâ I know a place what serves Dobbin, câmon.â With his arm still around Akiyamaâs broad back, Majima stumbled off in the direction of the izakaya he had in mind, taking another drag on his cigarette and then offering it wordlessly to the moneylender, a cloud of grey left in their wake.
âI donât wanna forget though,â he admitted after a moment. âForgettinâ means makinâ the same damn mistakes again. I wanna remember every lilâ detail soâs I can pay it all back tenfold.â Revenge was on perma-frost until he had every piece of his own puzzles back in place, but it was all just about to come into bloom - even Kamurocho Hills was just one massive middle finger to all the bastards who had tried to stand in his way.
âHeh, alright. Sounds good to me.â Akiyama smiled, although now he had been curious of the place Majima had wanted to go. It didnât matter where they went though, Akiyama could almost always use a drink.Â
âIâve never thought of it that way. I guess it is important to remember certain things to avoid making the same mistakes. Itâs just so much easier to want to forget.â Akiyama chuckled a little. âWhatever keeps you motivated, Majima-san.â he could tell by the look in Majimaâs eyes just how serious he had been about it too. âFor now letâs just relax.âÂ
mewgagotokuâ:
âNishitani.â The name was spoken with such force as if it defied further explanation. As if saying it alone was to scream in the face of gods and men. Majima closed his bloodshot eye, sinking back into the couch. âTime of death. Eight forty-four. Couldnât take none oâ his organs cus the nasty old bastard used âem all up, heh⌠thought they was gunna give âem back to me in a doggy bag or somethinâ.â
If Akiyama were watching, he would see the sharp compression of the Mad Dogâs bare chest, a muscle reflex which pushed all the air from his lungs as if his diaphragm were the skin of a balloon holding him together. His relationship with Nishitani had been no secret, they had all but painted the town fuchsia pink with their wickedness, a twin-headed snake howling for anarchy in a world of rule and ruin. Now though, thumbing the ring on his left hand, Majima was left to carry the dead weight of that second head alone, and he didnât know what the hell he ought to do with it.
He didnât say anything more for a while, staring up at the ceiling but not really seeing it.
âBet pickled liver tastes pretty good though.â
While Akiyama might have heard the name once or twice, he hadnât really known much about the type of person Nishitani was or why he had meant so much to Majima. It was easy to tell that this person meant a lot to Majima though especially by the way he had been speaking about him. âMajima-san... You have my condolences.â What was Akiyama supposed to say? He did tread carefully however, not wanting to accidentally upset the other man.
Akiyama tried to keep all knowledge of the Yakuza fairly vague not wanting to get too involved in knowing much more than he needed to. He remained silent, looking over at Majima trying to get some kind of read on him. There was something different about him in this moment, of course he could tell this loss bothered him but it had been clear that this might be causing Majima some actual physical pain. He frowned.Â
There was a moment before he decided to speak up again...
âMajima-san... If you need to talk about it. Iâm here to listen. I mightâve not known the guy, but I can tell that he meant a lot to you.âÂ
mewgagotokuâ:
âJust this once,â Hana repeated, a warning in her tone, though she couldnât conceal the tiny smile on her face when Mr A was beaming at her like that. That smile was how she remembered him back at the bank - though sometimes she was sure it had been a grimace back then. Now it was a look of pure joy, of freedom - a smile she wasnât sure she really deserved to receive.
Turning her gaze shyly elsewhere, she took a microphone from the Mama-san, and stepped up into the small karaoke area alongside Akiyama - realising only then that she had been holding his hand the whole time. Pulling her hands sharply back to herself as if heâd given her an electric shock, she made a show of fussing with her waistcoat and necktie, straightening out her skirt before the music started.
Swaying gently with the song, she nodded her head along with Akiyama as the lyrics began, stealing glances at him as he sang. Oh, he made her heart ache, a world of could-bes, would-bes and shouldnât-bes. That was probably more than enough wine for one night if her boss singing a love song was making her feel like this.
O-oh, it was Hanaâs turn to singâŚ!
Once was enough for Akiyama if thatâs all she wanted. Of course, he knew eventually he might try to convince her again in the future but for now he was so glad that she was going to join in with him! He smiled even more seeing that Hana was allowing herself to let loose and have fun! A rare sight to behold!
The temptation was strong to pout when she pulled away her hand from him, but there was no need to focus on that now. She was going to sing with him so was enough. One small complaint might end up discouraging her completely. Akiyama did his best to focus on the lyrics although he had been distracted by Hana being next to him. As he sang he occasionally made eye contact with Hana trying to somehow confess his feelings through song...Â
He gave Hana a wink as his part finished up, now it was her part coming up. He couldnât wait to hear her sing... He moved the microphone away from his lips to allow her to sing now.
Ah, this was exciting and fun!Â

Majimaâs shoulders dropped with a small sigh. It couldnât have been much more than an hour but he was already prepared to kill for the tiny pup, and hearing Akiyama saying that he would step up came as a huge relief.
âIt wonât be easy,â warned the vet. âAt this stage, the slightest change in routine could be catastrophic.â He looked down at the little pup again, thin lips pursed. âI say this because I donât want to give you false hope. But we can certainly help in. Giving you the resources you need to take care of him to the best of your ability.â
âJusâ tell âIâm what he needs, doc, anâ weâll get it done.â The vet looked curiously up at Majima as if he hadnât requested his input, but then nodded regardless. âI will make some recommendations on care and formulas - Iâll write it down for you so that you can refer to it. And yes, sir, a weekly visit for the first three weeks, and then weâll take a view. You can collect a business card from the front desk - call us immediately should his condition change.â
Akiyama made sure to listen intently, he had understood that it wasnât going to be easy but he had been up for the challenge. He had also clearly become attached to the little Banchou and wanted to make sure he received the best care possible. He was more than willing to do whatever it took to raise him up right, but of course he had been worried about it too.Â
âThank you. Thank you very much. Iâll be sure to take good care of him... Iâm sure Majima-san will help out too, wonât you, Majima-san?â Akiyama smiled. He bowed appreciatively towards the vet, âThank you for all of your help. Iâll be sure to follow all of your instructions. I appreciate it.â now it had been in Akiyamaâs hands to try to get Banchou nice and strong again.Â
After the vet had written down the recommendations for care and formulas he made sure to take the business card from the front desk. He filled out the paperwork and paid the necessary fees too. He looked over at Majima who had looked concerned as well, âWell, now itâs up to us to take care of this little guy.âÂ
mewgagotokuâ:
Broad-chested though he was, Saejimaâs jacket dwarfed Majima, pulling the fur collar in around his neck with a contented shiver. The extra cargo didnât make much difference to him - the coat was pre-warmed and immediately took the chill out of his old bones.
âAite, itâs a deal. Where do we start? Take one each anâ hold âem out like trackinâ radars??â Saejima surely had to have done this before. Kamurochoâs cats were skittish at best when it came to Majima - he wouldnât wish harm on them ,but they seemed to avoid him like the plague. Perhaps they had heard his rabid moniker and took it rather too literally.
Eyes narrowed at Majimaâs comment, but he shouldâve known it was coming. It was clear his kyoudai wasnât a big fan of kittens, it was a real shame really. At least he was glad that Majima seemed like he was fine with helping him out even if the other had been a little reluctant about it.Â
âWould be easier if we could really find âem that way.â Saejima shook his head. âThereâs a few places where a lot of kittens usually hang out. Thereâs a few alleyways we could check first.âÂ
egocentricjesterâ:
@criminaldelightsââ  obtained moonshine ???
The child smiles at Majima, clearly please with himself with the gift he got. The âconcernâ didnât really deter from him from answeringâŚalmost in the same excitable manner.Â
âOh! I havenât, you know stranger danger so I asked someone my age at the arcade who in turn has a older sibling and told me he can get it for meâŚThough I did pay it out of my own money.â In other words, a older sibling had smuggle it out for him.Â
Sure the gift was nice, but he was really concerned of how a kid was able to bring him some alcohol! Who was supervising this child?Â
âWhat do ya mean?! No one should be buyinâ booze for kids! Whoâs your friend that ya asked? Iâd like to have a word with âem. Tohru-kun...â he had paid for it too? Majima felt kinda bad, he should give this kid the money back at least.Â

ăOf courseďźďź I could probably sign us up on my way back home, or online if they allow ită A bowling contest does sound rather fun, doesnât itďźă The last time they bowled, they did score rather impressively so there was a good chance of winningă And with how competitive Mukuro could get, she also wasnât opposed to little dirty tactics to ensure their victory as wellă
âHehe, great~!âÂ
âDo ya wanna try doinâ it online since youâre already here? We can use my laptop! Yea! Iâm excited to beat everyoneâs asses!â Of course Majimaâs competitive spirit was showing. He and Mukuro made a damn great team so he knew they should be able to beat the competition.Â
afortiicriâ:
âN-No, but I can be around alcohol just fine! See that woman over there?â Ren pointed to a black-haired woman passed out on the table a few seats away from the man. âThatâs Ohya-san, my friend. She⌠always does this. I donât mind.â A smile crossed her lips as she bowed to him politely. âIâm⌠not really allowed to serve alcohol yet, Majima-san. My boss is on break, howeverâŚâ Turning around, she was a little intimidated by the number of bottles towering over here. âIâll do my best! Let me seeâŚâ Scanning the bottles for a bit, she recalled Lala-chan used to pick a particular one as her favorite. âSuntory Toki.â She said, carefully picked it up and poured it into a glass. âH-How about it, Majima-san?â
âHaw? Is that so?â Majima turned his attention to the woman passed out on the table. Well, Ren was kind of being supervised he guessed? âHehe! Looks like your friend likes to party. I know that feelinâ. Itâs easy to overindulge in some good alcohol.â he grinned, not that he ever really got passed out drunk anymore. He watched to see what Ren was going to bring him, hmm Suntory Toki. âThat ainât bad kid. You pay attention.â he lifted the glass to Ren before taking a drink from it. âThatâs some good sh--stuff.âÂ
xyumeniâ:Â
âI prefer beef. Or sometimes shrimp if iâm in the mood.â She tells him casually. Rei picks out a few different flavors of noodles for herself to buy. Two of them consisted of the beef flavor. The other one was more of a miso flavor. It was something new she wanted to try.
Her eyes glance at him for a moment. âAlright.. But I am curious about it. Are you like being followed by someone or something?â She tilts her head to the side as she turns to face him. If that was the case, she didnât mind having to play pretend. It was the least she could do to help someone out. Even if that did potentially put her in danger.
âHm. Those are good choices. I think beef and shrimp are the more flavorful choices. I donât think chicken tastes as good.â now he had been holding beef packages, at least for now. He needed something to look busy.
Oh, so she asked. It had been expected he might as well tell her. âYes... Itâs kind of a long story, but, Iâm hiding out from the cops. Iâm not a bad guy though I promise.â this still seemed to put him in an incriminating position without having to explain himself. He would tell her just not now. The officer had still been in the store, it was too risky right now.Â
hachidorinokoâ:
âWould you go with me to a club? Just to⌠check it out. They might take you more seriously than me.â Host clubs were a dime a dozen, but the really excellent ones were rare indeed. Whilst he knew he was good at his job, Tenji had found the competition in Kamurocho to be ferocious - it seemed like it didnât matter what his skills were because everyone working in the good clubs seemed to be in bed with the owners, one way or another. Snobby recruiters took one look at the word Yokohama and didnât give him a second sniff.
âDidnât Ageha just open up a new one? I wanna work for Ageha, they get all the best posters up next to KanraiâŚâ He tilted his head back, looking wistful. He didnât even know who Ageha were really, just that they owned four of the top five clubs and their PR Game was second to none. âI just wanna be on one of those posters. Is that so much to ask??â
Brought back down to earth at the mention of Elise, Tenji grinned.
âIâll try anything if itâll get me up a step, donât test me.â He laughed. âThat would be kinda putting the cat among the pigeons though, wouldnât it? Iâd steal your girls from inside the club⌠hey, thatâs not a bad idea! Lemme work for you! Iâll call you âBossâ and do whatever you want!â He clapped his hands together and bowed his head exaggeratedly.
âSure, I wouldnât mind that. Iâm always curious to check out the clubs around here. Heh, they might take me more seriously now, but Iâll show you how you can get them to take you seriously too.â Akiyama nodded. He could understand that maybe because of Tenjiâs age people might not take him as seriously, yet, but Tenji just needed to learn to present himself in a way to demand respect without seeming rude about it.
âI think they did. Then letâs get you a job with Ageha. Iâm sure I could put in a good word for you.â Akiyama didnât really mind if thatâs what Tenji had really wanted. âHeh, itâs crazy that they havenât put you on one of those posters yet. I think youâd look really good on one. Do you have any head shots? Might help them faster, itâll let them visualize what you look like on an Ad.âÂ
He chuckled at Tenjiâs enthusiasm regarding Elise.
âI can see youâre very passionate and determined. Thatâs good.â Akiyama smiled. âHaha, thatâs the only condition though, you canât date any of the girls! Makes it a lot harder, doesnât it? Oh and donât think that I wonât find out about it. Youâve gotta stay focused on the job... Donât let girls distract you.âÂ
splinteredthornâ:
Grabbing and heaving didnât work the first time, but Bara was nothing if not persistent. She braced a foot against the back of Ryujiâs thigh, and with an almighty tug, the lance came free from his back, leaving behind no blood but a single pink-tinged hole in his coat.
âI⌠yeahâŚâ Bara held out the decorated arrow for him to see, baffled. âIt looks like a hamaya.â Painted red and white, the fletching was hung with a little wooden board - but rather than display a zodiac animal, the block was painted with an image of a human heart. âWhere the hell did you get this? Take off your coat, lemme see what happened.â
Although he could feel the pressure of Baraâs tugging he didnât actually feel anything that was bugging him which was strange. His knees buckled just a little when Bara had braced her foot against the back of his thigh only causing him to lose balance just a little bit.Â
âThe hell?â why the hell would something that looked like a hamaya be on his back, he didnât feel anything though. He turned back taking a look at it, it looked disgustingly pink. He took off his coat, âDo ya see anythinâ? I donât feel any pain or nothinâ...âÂ
splinteredthornâ:
Flicking the broken pin away with a grunt, Bara folded her arms sulkily and gave the door a sharp kick before moving away to lean against the wall opposite. It always worked in the movies. Stupid hairpin. Stupid idea. Stupid Ryuji for letting the door swing shut in the first place.
âIn here? Out here. Donât look at me like itâs my fault, youâre the one who got us locked out!! If youâre so big and strong whyntcha break the door down, huh? Or is Goda Ryuji too soft to bust a door open these days??â There was more than one way to open a door, after all - relentlessly jabbing at Ryujiâs ego might just about do it.
"In, out... Same shit. I could break down the door, but I donât feel like having to get it fixed but it might be our only option.â Ryuji sighed, what a damn drag. He was already frustrated by this whole thing, just his luck. Of course he could try to kick down the door but that seemed like too much trouble, then the door would be fixed.
âShit, we might have to call someone.â that sounded so uncool of him to say, but it seemed like their best option at this point.Â
splinteredthornâ:
âWhy? Why bother?â She planted a fist in his side - with no force behind it, the punch was just for show. âNot like youâre nice to me any other day of the week.â This wasnât entirely true, on inspection, but neither Ryujiâs idea of nice nor Baraâs idea of nice were in any way comparable to the view taken by the rest of the world. If nice was as simple as not dropping each other in the river, who knew what kind would have the audacity to look like.
âYou told me I had no tits! You just donât take women seriously. Thatâs what your problem is.â Neither did anybody else in this damn town, for that matter. She was determined to prove them wrong, but it wasnât like she had a roadmap for what that looked like either. âIâll be laughing when it happens.â
A thought occurred, creasing her brow.
âHey - you ever been to jail before for real??â
ââCause ya just like to irritate me.â at least Ryuji thought that was reason enough to justify his rudeness towards her. Truthfully though he had a bad attitude towards most people he met so it wasnât as though she should take it personally. In comparison to most people, Ryuji was actually considered nice to Bara.Â
âShit thatâs whatâs bugginâ ya? Ainât my fault ya canât handle the truth. Just beinâ honest with ya.â Ryuji shook his head. Itâs not his fault that she barely had any tits at all, she should blame genetics for that one. Maybe she consider wearing a push up bra or something... Actually, nevermind. Ryuji doesnât want to think about shit like that.
âYea, once. Not for long though. With connections itâs easier to get out. Only happened one time but never again.âÂ
mewgagotokuâ:
Makoto screamed. There was a time when she might have frozen in front of something so terrible, but her legs were only too glad for the opportunity to run. With an extra half a step for every two of Majimaâs, she shrieked as the pair of them melted off into the a darkness, tears prickling at eyes squeezed shut. This was not okay. A little jump scare or eerie atmosphere was one thing, but this was horrifying.
âI donât know,â she wailed, panting as the two of them ducked into the tree line to hide. Her heart was in her throat - if she coughed it might fall out altogether. She could hear blood rushing in her ears, and the tears came uncontrollably now, scrubbing at wet eyes with a whimper. â⌠G-Goro⌠Iâm scared.â
Assuming this was still a Halloween prank they really had gone too far. Admittedly Majima still found this to be kind of exciting, well, he wouldâve been if Makoto wasnât so scared. His main focus was to keep her safe from this maniac with a chainsaw! Majima would try to fight him if he had to, but heâd rather not. He didnât like the odds of going up against a man holding a chainsaw!Â
âDonât worry...â Majima began trying to believe it himself. âIâll keep ya safe.â for now they just needed to run to get some distance between them and this maniac. At least they would be able to hear him coming since his chainsaw was pretty loud. âHey itâs ok. Iâm here. Ainât nothinâ gonna happen with me around. I promise ya!â if anything he could be a distraction for Makoto to run off to find somewhere safe but he didnât want to leave her alone either.Â
