I’m sewing Glowbug a floor-length coat in Gryffindor colors for a Harry Potter themed Yule ball on Saturday and I am dying. There is so much thick fabric that I am struggling with and it’s just....so so so much work.  I hope it is worth it in the end because gods damned this is overwhelming.  Ravenclaw + Gryffindor for life.

Last day of Fall Term! Plant Bio final at 12:30 and I am SO READY. 🕷

It’s REALLY hard to want to study when you know that your current overall grade in the class is 97% and have figured out that you can completely miss the final (tomorrow) and get an 85% in the class.  I can literally fail the final (50%) and pass with an A.  And yet this nerd is up past midnight studying for a test that she really doesn’t need too. (In my defense Plant Biology is totally my passion so yeah...)

Operation decorate and begin the process of "family-proofing" the apartment has begun. We are hosting X-mas Eve this year for MY family (it’s our turn of the rotation) which means we are hosting for the far right side of the political spectrum for a night. (I’m dreading it) Now I am not ashamed to be pagan, queer and liberal by any means but sometimes one just doesn't want to muddy up the holiday season with a million accusations and arguments so we are changing our entire appartment to avoid all that. We have our work cut out for us. *sigh*

We don’t have to do this for my In-laws, although they share the same political outlook as my family, they choose not to ask questions and allow us to be different. But then again, my mother in law despises my family because of how they treat me. She flat out told me she avoids them because she  has to try far to hard to bite her tongue when they give me back handed compliments and the like. My mother in law has a fiery tongue and honestly Id love to she her loose it on them someday...
