hello i hope you’re having a wonderful evening/day i LOVE the new chapter im playing it at the moment

i have two questions today:

How do the LI feel about nicknames? Garret would be Garry Rita would be riri and so on, who would like it and who would want the player to not call them a nickname

now that we know that garret is Morgan brattle why do we still call him garret? Is morgan a stage name or something like that?

Garret - Garret would feel a little weird about it at first simply because he never had a nickname before. Though, he would warm up pretty quickly since he likes the idea of you calling him something special that no one else is allowed to use.

Marcelo - Marcelo would have no issues with a nickname.

Camilla - Camilla would also have no issues with a nickname.

Rita - technically Rita's name is already a nickname. So she would be fine with going by any other variant of it.

Teagan - Teagan might actually tear up and get emotional if you used a nickname on them. Not because they dislike it, but because it means that you feel comfortable enough around them to call them by their nickname again.

As for second question, Morgan Brattle is his pen name. His real name is Garrett Belmont. He came up with the name Morgan Brattle when he first became an author simply because he didn't want any of his books to be linked back to his real identity.

I must have missed several assis, we don't get the option to see your oldest posts first. What did Garrets mother and father do to him? And what fate befell his parents, are they both dead, did he murder them?

Oh, that's so strange. I wonder if that's something I have to change in the settings? Either way, I'll look into it since that might make things a little bit easier to go through the archives.

!DAY 3 SPOILERS!

In Day 3, in Garrett's route, Garrett opens up a bit more about his childhood with MC. Specifically about his mother's extreme control issues and corporal punishment/abuse methods. He doesn't really mention his father during the date, though I will say that he was pretty neglectful and left raising Garrett mostly to his wife.

As for what happened to them, in Day 2 it was revealed that they both died a while ago. However, it hasn't been revealed how they died. That information will come in future updates.

Hopefully that clarify some things!

What if MC did not like going outside at all? Like, they work from home, buy groceries online and basically try to get as little human interaction as possible?

Oh, so they're like me for real? Ha ha sorry I couldn't help myself!

Garret - He would respect and appreciate the limited human contact portion of it. Though, I do see him getting a little worried about MC getting enough fresh air. After a while of not leaving the house, Garrett would probably suggest going on a walk somewhere on the island. Thankfully, he knows all of the best hidden spots where people don't usually go/ know about so MC won't need to interact with anyone aside from himself.

Marcello - He would probably be a bit more concerns about MC's overall mental health and wellbeing. Marcelo is pretty outgoing and likes to interact with people, so he would feel a pretty dejected if MC refused to go outside with him. He would do his best to respect MC's his wishes, but I see him gently trying to coax and see to get out of the house every so often.

Camila - While Camilla isn't nearly as much as a people person as Marcelo is, she would react pretty similarly to him. Mostly because she wants to make sure that MC isn't developing a severe case of agoraphobia. So every now and then she would come up with a reasonable excuse for you both to go out and venture into the world together.

Rita - Honestly, Rita would probably be the most accepting of the MC not wanting to go outside. She wouldn't mind being the designated person to go out and run errands/interact with the world. She also lives right above her bookstore so if you still worked for her and lived with her, technically you wouldn't be leaving the building. (;

Teagan - They would have mixed feelings about the situation. On one hand, you would be completely theirs but on the other hand they wouldn't be able to show you off to the world. Ultimately, I think they would still try to drag you to some of their shows, but perhaps not nearly as much as they would like.

Since I keep seeing people talking about Garret and Teagan how about we talk about the SWEET KIND UNPROBLEMATIC KING Marcelo

Now we know he’s into pretty much all vanilla, but how would he feel about a kinky mc? Because GOODNESS when he punched Teagan it did something to me

Now let’s say mc wanted to experiment with Marcelo, would there be any boundaries he would have? Like BDSM?

Yes! Marcelo deserves all of the love for being such a wonderful and sweet and problematic king! I'm also glad that you also think that punching Teagan in Day 3 was well deserved lol

Honestly, Marcelo is pretty eager to please. If MC came up to him, asking for something kinky in the bedroom. He would be open to trying it at least once.

That said, I don't see him being really into physically hurting the MC. Maybe a light smack here or there, or some light hair pulling, but definitely no impact toys or something that would leave a permanent mark. That said if he ever did do something a bit risky/kinky with MC he would be checking in constantly and making sure that MC is enjoying themselves.

Oh boy and don't get me started on aftercare, that would be his bread and butter!

I lowkey got curious, do any of the cast smoke? And what would they do if it bothered the Mc?

I recently answered the smoking (and drinking) question right before this one. But I didn't go into what they would do if it bothered MC.

Honestly, in terms of all of the cast, they would be pretty respectful when it came to MC's comfort. Whether it's smoking or drinking, if MC told them that they didn't like it, they would make it a point not to do it around MC.

If MC wanted them to stop completely, it would be a little more of a discussion but ultimately they would respect MC's wishes if they really felt strongly about it.

Fortunately, none of the cast is addicted to either smoking nor drinking so it wouldn't be that huge of an issue and they wouldn't have to suffer from withdrawals once they quit.

They might miss it from time to time, but in their minds, you were far more important than whatever high or buzz it would've given them.

So as we know garrets mom got harassed by the elites because she married his dad, but what if mc started to get harassed the same because their not rich or a somebody just like his mom before she got with his dad?

Was she always kinda evil or was it like a mind break from all the pressure from the others?

Still doesn’t excuse what she did to garret though 🧍‍♀️

!!DAY 3 SPOILERS!!

If any of the other elites tried to harass you in front of him or if he caught wind of it, Garrett would go on a warpath. He would absolutely destroy whoever was giving you a hard time. Not only would he verbally berate and humiliate them in front of everyone, but he would make it so that whatever business that their families were connected to would be ruined and they would essentially be kicked off the island.

He has a lot of power because of his family's reputation and unlike his father, he does actually care about you and wants to protect you from any and all harm.

He's seen firsthand what that kind of situation can do to someone and he refuses to let you become another one of Saint Anne's victims.

As for his mother, honestly it's a little bit of both.

I wouldn't say that she was an angel before getting married into the Belmont family. But she certainly wouldn't have gone to such dark extremes if it wasn't for the immense pressure she was under from everyone around her on Saint Anne's.

Honestly, if she had married an average guy. She probably would've still been a little money hungry and ambitious, but she certainly wouldn't have put Garrett through the things he went through during childhood.

Though as you said, it doesn't excuse the fact that she abused Garrett throughout his childhood and teenage years.

Let's just say she ultimately got what she deserved, even if Garret has mixed feelings about what happened to her...

Haha! This is a great question, just because of how much it'll depend on who's fictional characters you're simping for.

I've been waiting to answer this specific ask until day 3 was released because of how much of a spoiler the answer is!

DAY 3 SPOILERS BELOW!

If you're simping over the characters in his books, he'd be so flattered and smug about it. He'd use it to his advantage and recreate scenes from the book OR create a sequel of that book filled with naughty scenes that you two have personally experienced. He'd then send you any comments, fanart, or fanfiction based around said scenes.

If you're simping over someone else's fictional characters, he'd be pretty jealous and a bit bitter about it. He'd ask you what you like about the character, take notes, and create an even BETTER version of the character and have his next book center around said character.

In his mind, if you're not simping for him, then the only fictional characters you're allowed to simp for are the ones he created.

Does any of the love interests smoke or drink ?

Great question!

Garrett - He doesn't smoke, but will occasionally indulge in a glass of whiskey here or there. He'll also drink wine at his fancy events.

Marcelo - He never smoked cigarettes, but he has tried pot and it wasn't a fan. He does drink at his parties. I would say his favorite drink would have to be n imported beer called Águila. it's TOTALLY not because it's similar to his last name >>

Camilla - She isn't a fan of cigarettes, but she does occasionally smoke pot here and there. She's not a huge drinker, but will occasionally have a drink at a party. As for her favorite drink, she isn't really picky and will sip on whatever is given to her.

Rita - Prior to coming into the island she had never really smoked or drunk anything. However, now that she's finally starting to rediscover herself, she has started delving into red wines. Though she might need a little push from MC to explore smoking.

Teagan - They would've absolutely tried both while they were under age and would have tried to coax you into doing it with them. It's up to you whether or not you actually cave to their peer pressure. That said, Teagan tends to stay away from smoking in general because they've learned that it usually just increases their anxiety. They are a social drinker, but they make it a point not to drink anything when they are DJing somewhere. Despite what happens in day three they usually take their gigs very seriously. As for their drink of choice, I would have to say any coctails that are sweet or minty.

SPOILERS FOR DAY 3

Can I just say the MASTERPIECE you just made for day 3

When the mc is holding the rope over the sea (now correct me if I’m wrong) I loved how the rope represents Teagan and how all the pain they’ve caused you, but the more you held on the more it stung and bled and how it says “it was seeking your touch once more” after you let go and fell into the water

And I love how garret represents the ocean, how he looks absolutely gorgeous on the outside but you don’t really know what your getting yourself into as you can’t see the bottom

And I LOVE how Teagan and Garrets eyes flash across the screen as you hold on, makes it look like their two sides of the same coin

The day has finally come, the free version of Day 3 is finally here! It's the longest day yet, so I can only hope that it was worth the wait!

I would really appreciate it if you could leave a comment and/or rating on itch.io if you haven't already. It's a huge morality boost hearing what you guys think about Day 3 and how the story is unfolding!

For those curious, I've gone through and made a rough list of everything that I worked on and updated these past few months.

Days 1 + 2 had about 35.5k words and Day 3 ended up having 50k words! That gives us a total of about 85.5k words! I believe that translates to about 6-8 hours of gameplay if you explore all of the branches/routes.

There are 25+ new illustrations. (Including alternate versions)

That's a surprisingly complex question and to make it even more surprising they both have the same answer.

!!MINOR SPOILERS BELOW!!

Will they still want to be with MC? Yes.

Will they accept that MC is not this idealized version that they had built up in their heads? It really depends on which route you take in game.

If you go down the bad ending route, they'll try to force you into becoming this idealized version they had built up in their minds. Either that or hold you hostage for the rest of your life.

If you go down the good ending route, then they'll learn to accept reality and love you for the person you are now.

I’m curious—do any of the love interests have siblings? I feel like Garrett might be an only child. Teagan gives me either half-sibling energy or lowkey spoiled only child vibes. Camilla seems like she could have a sibling, though. As for Rita, I’m guessing she doesn’t, but Marcello feels like he’d come from a bigger family—so maybe he does?

Great question! Most of your theories are spot on! This will have some spoilers for Day 3 and beyond, but I'll try to keep things a little vague.

Garrett is in fact an only child, which is actually a good thing considering what you find out in Day 3 about his family.

Marcelo does come from a big-ish family. He is the oldest of four. He has two younger sisters and one younger brother. All of which he spoils.

Camilla has two older brothers that she gets along with. Kind of

Rita actually comes from the biggest family. She has eight siblings (A family of 9 kids including her). She is right in the middle as the fifth born child. Unfortunately, she's currently no contact with any of them.

Teagan actually had a younger sister… RIP
