                 THE    YOUNG    WITCH    was    surprised    once    vivienne    asked    to    adopt    her.    of    course    she    said    yes ,    and    she    was    ecstatic.    she    still    is.    it’s    been    at    least    a    couple    months    since    celia    got    asked ,    and    now    it’s    official.    she’s    all    moved    out    of    her    apartment ,    which    she    is    going    to    miss.    it’s    been    home    for    about    three    years    now.    and    it    did    have    its    downsides;    cracks    in    the    wall    and    ceiling ,    rusty    showerhead    that    barely    ran    water    (on    occasion    when    it    did    work ,    the    showers    were    heaven) ,    and    only    a    microwave ( which    she    didn’t    mind    of    course ,    since    she    could    have    all    the    ramen    and    macaroni    in    the    world).    but    now    she’s    moving    in    with    viv    and    her    daughter    and    fiance.    she    can’t    deny    that    she’s    nervous    and    slightly    homesick ,    but    hopefully ,    it’ll    pass    soon.    ❛  it’s    beautiful.  ❜

❛ it’s daunting, i think, ❜ she’d thought that when she’d first seen the house, she still thinks it now, even after all this time. to be fair, though, vivienne thought most places were daunting, especially if she’d not seen them before.  ❛ certainly compared to your apartment ... which was plenty nice ! y’know, for an apartment. ❜ foot, meet mouth for the millionth time. it was a problem with her at times, her seeming inability to keep from saying something that seems right, but ends up oh - so - wrong when it actually comes into existence. she’s probably done such a thing with celia more than she should have, especially with the whole adoption situation. oh god, what a disaster getting all the checks done had been ! vivienne, with her anxiety and her secrets, couldn’t seem to get more than one sentence out at a time, a truly humiliating experience. but that’s over now. everything is done, she’s celia’s legal guardian, and everything will be fine.

this hadn’t been a spur of the moment decision. oh no, vivienne’s thought long and hard about this, about taking in the other witch. well, she’s already taken her in, but this is a step further than that ━ this is legal, checks completed and documents signed. unlike having ruby rose, vivienne wasn’t blindsided when it came to adopting celia. she knew she was doing, she still knows what she’s doing. ❛ so, this is it. it’s not my house, we can go back there if you don’t feel comfortable here, but this is where i’ve been staying. ❜ it’s bigger than the redhead’s house, but such is the consequence of moving in with one’s filthy rich boyfriend.
