I already threw my lot in with Zach Cregger's movie with the first trailer and his comments, especially given the issues with the Anderson movies started around the time they started incorporating game characters in vs. doing a story within the universe w/ original ones. The best part of RE1-Anderson were to do with The NEST and the Red Queen, neither of which are from RE games; but do fit within that world. Then it devolved into "how do we shove Jill/Chris/Carlos/etc in here" and "how do we do/reference x-game event in here" (Jill getting taken by Wesker and being turned against the MC's). But now after the newest trailer that's been fully reinforced cause it looks soooooooo good/interesting. Clearly there's references to the games (bit on the nose ones imo), but its still its own story covering its own characters and angle of the RC incident. So hyped.

The only addition I need beyond that is that they'll fix the mistake from 2009 by actually confirming Needifer was (is, maybe Jennifer pulls herself back from the afterlife or Needy finds a way to bring her back) mutual & have it blatantly being a thing. Will I absolutely LOVE this artwork? ABSOLUTELY. Both cause Aeon and I just love this Leon looks halfway between 4 & 6 w/ the shadow going on. But also Ada as always looks fantastic.
