How to Set Intentions

Always in witchcraft there is going to be a spell or ritual that asks you to set your intentions in order to reach the goal desired. We always hear “set your intentions”, but we never get to hear how to set your intentions. Here, I’m going to give you a step by step guide on how to set your intentions for rituals, spells and anything else that requires your focus.

1. Write down your primary ideas for what you want your intention to be about

Example:  I want to be rich, I want to be able to buy things without worry of money, I want to have more tangible assets

2. Analyze your ideas for common themes. What is the main goal you are trying to reach?

Example: Money, Abundance, Wealth

3. Use the themes found to identify your intention. Always be as precise as possible.

Example: I will have an abundance of money, I will have excess cash to live comfortably

4. Write your intention on a specific piece of paper with as few words as possible, but be very specific.

These simple steps will allow you to understand how to set your intentions in an exact manner which will strengthen any spell or ritual you plan on doing. I hope this helped. Thank you for reading!

It’s been 4 months since you went back university. You haven’t seen your boyfriend, Simon Minter, since the day you came back due to him being in London still. Every single day you FaceTime him but it just wasn’t the same. But today’s FaceTime was different.

The call finally connected and that grinning pale face you thought was more gorgeous then the sunrise popped up. He was walking somewhere, and I heard shouting in the background. It definitely was the boys, who now were basically my brothers.

“Hiya, you okay?” I couldn’t help but smile when looking into Simons eyes, even if it was just through a screen. It looked like he was about to reply when suddenly a mop of hair bounded into frame and cuddled into him.

“He’s resorted to fucking me now Y/N, you’ve left him with nothing for too long.” Harry planted a fat, sloppy kiss on Simons cheek, strings of saliva connecting them moments after. I giggled; the boys could always cheer me up, even when I’m drowning in coursework and lectures. Simons face, however, showed complete and utter disgust.

“I thought I was just the cover up Boggo?” Simon barged Harry out of the phone screen and it was just him again.

“I miss you.” He smiled. Even though he was very muggy in nature, he was the sweetest boy underneath that. As I was going to reply, my laptop began screaming the horrifying sound of a class call: a video call of a lecture I needed to be in.

“Apparently everyone wants to interrupt, I’m sorry my love, let’s try again tonight?” He seemed disappointed but understood.

“Ooooo my loveeeeee,” JJ’s voice leaked into my ears instead of Simons. I rolled my eyes but laughed anyhow.

“I love you.” Simon put his finger up to Jide as he said this, slightly removing some of the emotion but adding a bit of comedy, which I wasn’t mad at. He hung up before I could reply, but I saw JJ jumping into view before, so I assume it was accidentally ended. I quickly messaged him back “I love you too” before joining the call and resuming my studies.

My fists were turning white from how hard I was grasping onto the steering wheel of my shitty little car. It was a mess, with rubbish like McDonalds wrappers and Dr Pepper bottles and I think there was an empty crate of Strongbows in the back under the passenger seat. I was no longer driving, just sitting in front of a place which felt so horrifying yet comforting; I’m still trying to understand how that could be. I wanted to get up and go to the white door. I wanted to knock on it and be greeted with open arms and things would return to how they was. But I don’t think that’s even a possibility anymore.

I saw the identical white door next to my parents house open; a woman who I have known my whole life emerged. Her golden hair bobbed at her shoulders, following her movements as she turned around and locked her front door. She was on the phone to someone and her infectious giggle leaked out of her mouth and into her phones speaker. She always had been a loud person, much like her son who I knew all too well.

I took a deep breath, feeling my chest rise and fall. It helped me muster the courage to push open my car door and step out. I could make out what she was saying now.

“How about you come down this weekend? I know you have filming on Wednesday so you might as well come down Thursday night and stay till Monday morning.” She had the typical Essex twang to her voice, much like myself. It added to her charm if anything though.
