A month ago, I watched a rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar in my hometown,and although I'm agnostic,I was quite interested in this play🙏

I mean... everyone is doomed,cool songs,the drama...why wouldn't i like it

Judas' appearance was inspired by the actor I saw in the play,so maybe in og brodway it's different...I have no idea yet😭

Omg I'm so glad someone asked! My film basicly explores the similarities between religion and fan culture through the story of this teenage girl that starts fangirling over jesus, and part of the film basicly shows common ways of worship and other ways of partaking in religion through a fanculture lense (for example reading divine comedy on AO3, going to a "fan club meeting" every sunday, putting icons on the wall next to celebrity posters and in this instance making fanart!) And because the main character is a stereotypical fangirl I obviusly had to make her a bit of a fujoshi:D it's not a central part of the filmbut it's there (she is also part of the lgbt+ but that doesn't actually have much to do with the shipping)
