hi hello hi so you know how I mentioned someone did an animation for my very first MLP fic, Injuring Eternity [alicorn Twilight outlived her friends, goes back in time to see Rarity one last time, ends up getting caught, she and Rarity have a weekend trip to Manehattan as a little treat for Twilight] WELL IT FINALLY GOT POSTED

i am LOSING my MIND, this is 8 minutes long, it is nearly show accurate, this is crazy

looking at a lot of the comments for the IE video on bilibili and seeing so many folks like outright referencing the fic itself, and just how many people loved it--crazy, insane, holy shit

i think it's also really crazy because IE is so old, and it was literally baby's first serious fic, and i never really knew how much impact it had and how many people think of it fondly until this video?? lmao

idk I'm really emotional about it, i feel very privileged to get to see in such a tangible way the impact of my writing

reading more comments on bilibili and there's one in particular from a very kind commenter that ends with this and [pls excuse google's probably poor translation]

i'm crying? i'm weeping? literally a few days ago I was in tears thinking I'd maybe made a mistake with the choices i've made in life, especially with writing and writing so long for this fandom and going to grad school, and it's so constant for me to criticize my past selves, and this comment is so gentle?

all these folks, but especially this, this person has zero reason to say this, to speak so fondly of me, and maybe that's why it hits? because this remark about me wasn't written with the expectation of me reading it? it feels more sincere?

i did stay up until 7 am writing it, crying on the couch while studying abroad!! my style DID change every other chapter because I wasn't sure who I was as a writer!! i wrote Injuring Eternity not because I thought it would be a good story, but because it was just a story I was excited to tell and I gave it my best effort regardless of whether it would be good or not

i dont know. i dont know!! i'm very emotional and it's four am but shoutout to this commenter for doing the impossible and make me look back at my past self with love and affection for once in my life and shoutout to trnd for giving me something so incredibly affecting and reaffirming during one of the most difficult and challenging times of my life creatively
