"this season is from lestat's perspective and that's why so many scenes were skipped over" never makes sense to me as an explanation when i see it on twitter or wherever because the first two seasons were from louis' perspective and still managed to convey a lot of necessary information and supply a lot of crucial context. i think so many scenes were skipped over this season because the writers were disinterested in writing them and/or they decided for whatever reason to wait for season four to fill in the gaps. in retrospect i'm surprised we even got as much dm as we did

Yeah, I kind of think Lestat’s pov just doesn’t work the way they did it. When it was Louis’ story, he had Daniel there to help him remember or push back when his story didn’t add up. Lestat has no pushback so everything is up in the air.

And like again, I’m not even saying all of it is bad, but it’s just strange to basically do a bridge season when you only get 7 episodes that took 2 years to come out.

The lack of any follow through with the DM love confession kind of just feels like the writers throwing us some some DM just to say ‘here, damn’

Yeah, like I didn’t expect a big love confession in episode 4 so I was pleasantly surprised, but then they basically served us nothing after that so it’s like okay so what’s the deal now? Are the feelings mutual now or are they just working together? Like I get this is Lestat’s pov so maybe he just doesn’t know what happened between them, but like…how do you go too fast and then not go anywhere with it at the same time, idk lots of confusing shit this season.
