THE AUTOBOT MEDICS OF TF: STALEMATE!!!

The Ark is home to around one hundred bots, and it’s these four’s job to ensure the health and safety of them all.

The Medic’s Code is very important to these four, and a certain clause describes that they will help each and every bot, no matter their faction. It wouldn’t be odd to find a decepticon in their care…

Descriptors of each bot and their job below cut:

RATCHET:

Chief Medical Officer and should-be retiree, he’s been putting in work for centuries now. He’d much rather be doing anything else other than patching you up, and he will make that abundantly clear. What he won’t let on is his odd ability of feeling other bot’s pain; no wonder he’s a grouch. In spite of his overall sour mood, he’s an incredible medic and an irreplaceable member of the team.

AMBULON:

After the murder attempt from his former mentor Pharma, Ambulon disappeared from the Ark for many years. After some extensive therapy, he’s finally returned. While still learning his craft from Ratchet, he’s very skilled with a blade. Many would still trust him to perform an operation on them. Despite feeling the weight of being gone for so long, Ambulon has rekindled his relationship with Slack.

FIRST AID:

Being the adoptive son of Ratchet has its perks, but the name made it obvious what career path he was being nudged into. First Aid is unlike the CMO in every way, always polite and respectful towards his patients. It’s rare that he ever raises his voice. He’s currently in a rather scandalous forbidden romance, but that’ll never get in the way of his work. Probably.

SLACK:

In spite of the courteous nature of his twin, Slack has picked up all the fury and annoyance of Ratchet. While the seizing of his servos definitely benefited from him dropping out of the medical program, his temper was just as much so a factor. He has a strange understanding of other bots, which lead him towards the mental health spectrum of medicine… and also towards Ambulon.

THE DECEPTICON …medics? OF TF: STALEMATE

At least they claim to be medics. When most of Megatron’s army turned to the Autobots, few doctors remained. Knock Out, former Velocitronian model and Stunticon showboater, just happened to be one of them.

BREAKDOWN:

While his bulky stature might make you think this name is because of his brute strength, it’s actually quite the opposite. Breakdown is frequently wracked by anxiety attacks in the face of decisions, which certainly doesn’t help the volatile nature of Menasor. Lately he’s taken a liking to Knock Out’s more relaxed career and has been seen lurking around the medical ward. Medic in training? Who knows.

KNOCK OUT:

Before becoming a model, Knock Out took some basic medical classes before very quickly dropping out. The night life of Velocitron calls, after all! While he did eventually go on to finish his medical training, he’s frequently distracted by his own vanity and is attracted to shiny things like an Earth crow. While he won’t give you the best in medical care, you’ll certainly be regaled by all the juiciest drama the Nemesis has to offer.

WILDBREAK:

The first sparkling of Knock Out and Breakdown. While he physically resembles Breakdown… who am I kidding, he also mentally resembles Breakdown. While in his younger vorns he expressed a lot of spunk, he’s certainly reeled back into a more nervous state. Although he does derive excitement from rushing into trainings with the Stunticons, he would most certainly panic in the face of an actual threat.

OVERRIDE:

While a bit of a surprise, she was welcomed into the family quickly. Her carriage lasted about a quarter of the time of a regular sparkling, and her blossoming personality made the reason apparent. While Wildbreak is Breakdown but smaller, Override is Knock Out in the same manner. She’s loud, will make herself known, and will stare judgmentally at anyone who so much as glances in her direction.

He’s really just a worry wart. He’s scared of change, not like we can blame him for that… but things have been okay recently. Maybe we’re finding a new kind of calm here in the medbay :)
