FOODIES ( @crmimi )
as the sun began to fall, most would already be settled down to their third meal of the day. typically treated as the largest, although klaus couldn’t relate to the sort of lifestyle. he has never been one with a proper diet, he consumed regularly in vast amounts. probably not the healthiest, but who cares when you only live once. (most people do, actually-he is aware of this) luckily though, he enjoyed just about anything; making a stop at a buffet a splendid idea.
it was nice to eat with those who had similar habits as himself; that’s where miguel stepped in. a hufflepuff of course, who loved food just as much or perhaps even more than the spry gryffindor. this has yet to be determined; and with a boy who manages to turn most things into a competition, today would make the perfect opportunity to put it to test.
“ hey miguel, ” he started off in a playful tone, one he used frequently when he was up to something. “ ever been apart of a food eating contest before? “ forbidden him the time to answer, replacing what would have been his words for his own. ” no? well- you are about to live out your long life time dream, with me. “ he knew this wasn’t his dream (or maybe it was), either way he was only joking with the hufflepuff.
” bet. “ he grinned, with the nearest condiment grasped within his hand; without even a single given glance to the label. because he is confident; a trait that may escape him a little too fondly. ” fifteen minutes, whoever fails has to drink this entire bottle. “
one of the girls back in castelobruxo had once told the hufflepuff the key to a man's heart is through his stomach. back then it had not clicked with him what she meant until her daily snack gifts became full grown meals. but while she didn't win his heart, miguel would say with sprightly confidence that food buddies were truly the lasting buddies.
after all, food was an unchanging factor in everyone's life. necessary, t couldn't fall as a topic of interest. nobody ever says they don't like food. certain foods, but never the entire concept. there were such things as different tastes, different appetites but that's probably what made finding a food buddy all the more important. like klaus. they were different houses but at the end of the day, that didn't matter because both of them shared tastes. above all that, they could probably engulf an endless amount of things.
an all-you-can-eat is a dream. but it can't just end there, that would be boring. he had thought fo snapping photos for hooter, however, klaus's wors perk up his interest. about to open his mouth, miguel quickly shuts it again when he realizes this contest isn't a topic up for discussion. it's war, the war over a feast and the glance over at the punishment itself tells him losing is not an option here. not if he wants to spend the rest of the day in peace.
"i guess i can also live out a dream of watching you suffer in regret then," the hufflepuff says with a mischievous grin, the amber of his eyes sparkling with untamed excitement. "you're on. is it how fast we finish or how much we eat in a certain time frame? not that i'd lose either way."
