To have such clean edges, make every project using stitch markers and make sure you
1)Don't over lap on the first stitch of the row.
2)Slip stitch onto the top of the first stitch.
3)Single crochet once.
4)Insert your hook onto one of the two loops of the stitch
5)Pull yarn through.
6)Make another single crochet on top of the previous single crochet.
7)Then continue on your double crochet
In love with this.
Wanna learn rib stitch?
Start a chain, any amount, insert hook into front loop only of second chain from hook, pull yarn through and slip stitch. Continue until you have two rows to see the actual stitch forming. The first row just looks deformed.
A little trick for when you're working with multiple colors, and don't know what to do with the ends
Dc: double crochet
Cc: Color change
Do your double crochets, then change color don't just drag your yarn across the stitches. Stitch on top of the row below only, do your normal double crochets. Before the last Dc take the previous yarn (to be used in the next stitch) and double crochet over the yarn (and the chains alongside) smtn like this.
The blue yarn is using to be stitched while the red is just hanging, the take the red, put it over the last row and do your last Dc over it
[If you don't understand I am very willing to actually crochet it and show it to you, but that will take a while]
To make your granny squares 3d. Work on a circle and then leave the last layer to work on the second last.
Here they finished off the flower and then started working on the yellow with the white in stead of continuing with the blue.
