Best Laid Plans...

I started this year with a serious plan to create 26 shawls, one per every two weeks. That is... not what's happening.

Unforeseen life events have stolen a great deal of my time, throwing me horribly off schedule. (Death in family and a move across state among them.)

So I certainly am not 13 shawls into the year's plan. But I am also having what might be called Post-planning Dissonance.

I'm not liking some of the combinations I came up with last fall, and I've decided I don't care for a couple of the yarns and or yarn/pattern matches, so I'm going to step back for a bit, then rejigger my plans!

Hopefully I'll have better plans soon.

A little bit dark in this photo, but I have been working on the side on my Persian Tiles blanket.

I have almost finished my Evelin sweater, and this past week, I blocked two shawls.

This one's the Midnight Wrap (Kim Miller), which was designed in lace weight, and I made in fingers, so it came out far longer than I expected (about 90").

And this is one of my eternal projects (that means I leave it in a room and only work on it in that room), the Naylene Shawl by Berniollie. It's about 72" and I may go back and make it longer.

I'll be out of pocket for a while as we're in the process of moving to another city, and my store on StorEnvy will be closed through that time.

Took a stab at an original design after doing a few pieces of Swedish embroidery. Didn't turn out quite like I planned, but I learned some things...mostly that geometry is real and can hurt you.
