since @callmesirkay​ asked here are the tutorials I combined to make this hood:

for the stich i used the armor stitch which needs two different sized needles

then for the base pattern i used this hooded cowl pattern that is knitted all in one piece as well as this pattern to figure out how to decrease the stitches for the back of the head (however, since I wanted to keep the armor stitch consistent i joined 3 stitches in the middle of the row to create the curved hood on the back of the head)
