One thing I really appreciate about the EXU returning lineup is at first it makes sense, like Matt’s the DM he never gets to just be a player in his own world, Ashley missed so much being a professional actress with a physical job she gets some catch-up.

and then there’s just like… even god cannot stop Liam O’Brian from playing Dungeons and Dragons and mercy upon any who try.

a minor but very satisfying thing: caleb is finally able to acknowledge himself as having been a child when he killed his family

we’ve seen him get there sort of by-association before, where he has looked at other scourgers and seen “children on the pyre,” but until now he’s always characterized his own past self as a “young man”

but finally, as he ponders what changing the past would look like, he admits that he would be looking at children
