Y/n’s POV
The sound of the metal camper door slamming open turned your attention to the trailer. Hongjoong found a really nice place that overlooked a rocky beach and Jongho volunteered to rent a camper and some tents big enough for your whole group. Your son was running down the steps with Wooyoung trailing behind him with a playful and devilish grin.
A local resident puts love hearts and slogans on the plastic that covers offensive graffiti on the vandalised mural of Manchester United striker and England player Marcus Rashford on the wall of a cafe on Copson Street, Withington on July 12, 2021 in Manchester, England. Rashford and other Black players on England’s national football team have been the target of racist abuse, largely on social media, after the team’s loss to Italy in the UEFA European Football Championship last night.
tears immediately well in your eyes and it’s like he’s suddenly on high alert, shaking your head as you look at seonghwa with a growing look of sorrow in your gaze.
you don’t even know where to begin or what to say, your mouth opening and closing as you try to find the words and make them come out
it only causes seonghwa to grow increasingly concerned, his hands on your cheeks as he looks into your wide, teary eyes.
“y/n, baby, what happened?” he asks, the concern in his voice causing your stomach to twist painfully.
“nothing,” you squeak out, both of you knowing that’s a complete and utter lie. “i mean... something did happen. but... seonghwa, i don’t even know what... it was so sudden and i didn’t think he-”
“what. happened?”
you lick over your lips as a tear escapes your eye, seonghwa watching it roll down your face and feeling his jaw clench - he feels himself truly about to lose it. what the hell could’ve-
“yunho kissed me.”
seonghwa knows he should act a little more rational, being older and wiser and more mature than the boy in question.
but he’s had weeks, months even, of pent up anger toward your greatly unprofessional boss that he couldn’t stop himself right now even if he wanted to.
even if he tried, for a second, to talk himself out of his next decision.
“wait in the car,” seonghwa growls lowly, the words only registering in your brain when the driver door closes and you’re in the car alone.
“what! no! seonghwa, wait!” you squeal, attempting to open the door to find he’s locked you in. you scramble to turn off the car and quickly get out, making your way into the building with your heart frantically pounding in your chest.
you didn’t want this to happen. you didn’t want any of this to happen.
meanwhile seonghwa stormed in the place as if he knew it like the back of his hand, pushing open the door to see yunho at his desk with his head in his hands and a shocked look on his face.
“seonghwa,” he said, his voice deep and confused as he rises to his feet.
his hands are out like he’s already on the defense, seonghwa completely unbothered by his immediate submission or four inch height difference.
“what are you doing here?”
“what do you think i’m doing here?”
yunho lets out a scoff as he looks over the man carefully, the tick in his jaw and dark look in his eye greatly humbling him.
“look, just let me-”
you run into the room just as your boyfriend’s fist connects with your boss’s face, a choked gasp leaving your mouth when yunho falls back and hits into his office chair.
“let you what? explain why you’re kissing y/n? because that’s my only fucking concern here,” seonghwa growls out, the bite and grit behind his voice causing your eyes to widen; you don’t remember the last time you’ve heard seonghwa this angry.
“do you go around kissing all of your employees?”
“just the ones i think are tired of their life with a sugar daddy.”
“yunho!” you yelp, completely shocked and disgusted by the words that leave his mouth.
but you’re a little more unnerved by how, instead of throwing another punch or raising his voice, seonghwa laughs. lets out a deep, low chuckle that makes your stomach flip nervously as your eyes move to him.
“and why would she be tired of that?” seonghwa asks lowly, his hand pushing yunho’s chest until he hits the wall with a loud thump.
“who would she be happy with if not me? you? her creepy boss who has pined pathetically after her since the moment he saw her?”
“i never said me.”
“you didn’t have to,” the man says, finding it incredibly hard to keep his cool but also show yunho this is not gonna fucking stand. “you’ve made it clear since day one that you’ve wanted her so that’s what this is about, isn’t it?”
yunho can’t find it in himself to say anything, only looking at the older man in front of him with a tick in his jaw and a harsh pain throbbing through his face.
seonghwa’s eyes move to you and he feels his heart break despite the way confusion and anger is coursing through him; why do you look so scared and guilty? why does it seem like you’re hiding something?
“isn’t it, y/n?
because he doesn’t know what’s been going on between you two, or what happened on your weekend trip together, but he knows he doesn’t like the way he feels right now.
he doesn’t like the look on your face or the guilt in your eyes or the way it seems like he doesn’t know anything anymore about how you feel.
“Must you really go?”- you sighed out, seeing your husband pace around the room. Klaus snatched his jacket from over a chair. You stood a bit helpless in the middle of the room, watching him go around. – “We sure will miss you.” – you let your hands slide down your stomach to the growing bump. That seemed to get his attention as he slowly made his way over to you. – “I won’t be gone that long.” – Klaus moved his hands to your cheeks, bowing your head a bit down to give your forehead a kiss. You smiled underneath your breath, closing your eyes to feel the intensity of his affection. You slowly opened them again, feeling his hands slide down. – “Is there truly no way I can persuade you?” – you saw him curl up a grin, feeling his hands go down your body. – “How much I love spending time with my wife.” – he rested his hands against your bump. – “I have to take care of this.” – you smiled when Klaus went down his knees. His hands still resting on your bump. – “I love you always and forever.” – he whispered to your unborn child. You let your fingers go through his hair, acknowledging how sweet that was. – “I truly wished you would come with us.” – a soft breath escaped your lips, making Klaus rise again to his feet.
He rose back up with his face close to your body as he wanted to come face to face with you. – “I shall call you a thousand times.” – your face and his were inches away, gazing fondly at each other. – “Only a thousand?” – you quirked up a smirk. Klaus grinned back, letting his hands slide up your jawline. – “Two thousand times.” – he answered, breathing against your lips. You shivered from the tingling feeling he gave you. The little space between your lips and his, grew slimmer. You slightly opened your mouth to receive his lips onto yours. The touch of his tongue touching your upper lip before kissing you passionate, made a spark explode inside of you. You felt a little kick, making you pull away from his liberating kiss. – “Did you feel that?” – you asked, knowing your bump was pressed against his stomach. Klaus let his hand slide down to your stomach, biting his lip. – “I sure did.” – both of you shared a brief kiss, before letting go of each other. You followed Klaus outside, leaning against the doorframe. – “Say my regards to Uncle Elijah!” – you called out to him. Klaus chuckled amusingly, waving you goodbye.
San comes back home with a skip in his step, a giant smile on his face and whatever qualms he had regarding his arm forgotten about entirely. Honestly though, he wouldn’t mind having a bruised arm anyway if it meant getting to hear what other wonderful solutions you have in that head of yours.
Too bad he had made that joke about fucking someone on the couch. Perhaps you would’ve had so much more to say if he didn’t bring it up.
The small flowers Seonghwa planted by the window seem to smile at San as he walks up to the door, and he can’t help the small giggle that bubbles in his chest.
You guys have already made more progress than San could ever do in an entire month, and although he would never admit it— not even aloud to himself— he’s grateful that you’ve been there to help him. Not just through the curse, but through the entire mess he’s created for himself.
If you two keep going at this pace, it won’t be long until you figure out who the culprit is and get San back to living his normal life.
“I’m home!” San announces, throwing his keys haphazardly onto the table placed beside the door.
It hits the resin bowl it’s supposed to go in with a shrill tang and if Yunho hadn’t heard San’s voice, then surely he’d hear San’s keys instead.
However, there’s no hint of his giant-ass roommate anywhere. Which is odd, considering how often San would hear Yunho’s sailors mouth this time of day when playing video games.
He kicks his shoes off and discards his coat on the island counter, surveying the area quickly. The small sound of a character dying comes from the room farthest from him, and San sees the door cracked open, the set of blue led light spilling out onto the floorboards outside.
Yunho must be playing then. Either that or Wooyoung decided to use the extra pair of keys they hide in the flower bed to practice for the next time he’s up head to head against Jongho.
When San walks over and takes a peek in he doesn’t know what’s stronger, the relief that Yunho is there sitting on the couch, or the nervous pang San gets in his chest once he sees the look on Yunho’s face.
Wooyoung’s always been the fanatic of astrology, but San doesn’t need to know what Yunho’s natal chart means to understand that he looks fucking scary when he’s pissed off.
San can barely slink away before Yunho’s eyes flicker to him. The intensity of his gaze drills right into San’s skull and he doesn’t hesitate to put his controller off to the side.
He flinches as he hears Yunho’s character die in the blink of an eye and ducks his head to ‘admire’ the fluffy carpeted mat underneath the table.
“Hey Yuyu,” San’s words come out more as a soft mutter than an actual greeting. “Did you, uh, did you get my text this morning?”
Yunho says nothing, staying eerily still as he rests his arms against his legs and continues to stare at San until the other starts to fidget nervously. After a few more seconds, he sighs and leans back.
“San.” A shiver shoots through his spine at the timbre of Yunho’s voice. “Did you disappear again today?”
A cold sweat gathers on San’s back and he tightens his hold against one of the rings on his finger, the same one Yunho has on his thumb. “Disappear? What do you mean exactly by that?”
“Don’t be coy with me, I think we’ve had enough of our fair share of those moments to need one more.”
Yunho shifts in his seat but otherwise gives San enough space to stop him from running off. He knows how to deal with San, he’s known the guy since preschool, he knows every nook and cranny of San enough to tell when he’s lying. Which has been way too often to count as of late.
“Listen, if you really want to know where I was today, I just went off to hook up with some.” It doesn’t seem like San will be telling the truth today either. “Why are you so curious? You never used to be like this before.”
“You’re right. But that was before, when you told me every time you would up and disappear.” Yunho sighs and runs a hand through his hair, eyebrows knitting together.
In spite of his frustration, San notices the worry etched on Yunho’s face and his gut twists. It isn’t like he wants to lie to Yunho either. San hates seeing Yunho like this, but it’s hard to do anything and he can’t bring himself to reassure Yunho at all.
“I guess things change.” San says and he immediately regrets it, seeing Yunho tense. But he pretends nothings wrong, he ignores the effect his words have on his best friend and he pushes away the guilt that tears into his throat, begging him to apologize.
Instead, San goes to settle beside Yunho and slots himself under the other's arm, fitting perfectly like a missing puzzle piece. He presses his head against Yunho’s chest and smiles when Yunho naturally rests his hand on San’s hip.
He acts as if he’s said nothing wrong, and nuzzles against Yunho. “But you and I won't change, alright Yuyu?” San listens to the rumbling hum that comes from Yunho’s chest. “You’re still my number one.”
Yunho keeps quiet and lets San have his way. But by how his eyes narrow and his lips curl into a thoughtful frown, San knows that this conversation isn’t over yet. He’s only delayed it for another day or two, as he will until he can lift this curse of his.
Or till Yunho gets sick of all the lies and secrets San keeps.
“I’ll be there tomorrow.” Yunho says softly and presses his cheek atop of San’s head, finally giving up for tonight. It seems he’s missed San more than his frustration can compete with. “You’re paying for my giant ass bowl of ice cream though.”
“Of course.” San smiles. His skin is hot with shame, because he knows he’s going to have to disappear again.
And before he closes his eyes, letting Yunho resume his game, San spots a book thrown carelessly on the floor. There’s something similar about its bright colours and the raven emblazoned but he can’t recall where he’s seen it— and lets sleep take over his consciousness for the night.
synopsis: you and Mingi are on job trips, although they are a little different. You do a show and he… well, let’s just say he watches you with the eye of the tiger.

author's note: it is absolutely not my best work, but I wanted to post something and this draft had been sitting on my notes for too long now. So enjoy!
From the moment you laid down to sleep, at a reasonable hour, you had been turning and tossing around bed. Why? Your bets were on the jetlag you thought you would not experience, but, hey, you were wrong! Once more, you got up from your hotel bed, which was surprisingly comfortable, looked at your cell phone, saw it was one in the morning and walked to the window that gave you a view of the street lights. You were too high to see clearly what was happening there, however you watched two people, maybe a couple, entering the convenience store and a group fastly riding their skateboards down the street. In some way, it was relaxing to look at the city at night, how it was so peaceful and silent.
You turned around to analyze your bedroom again. The company chose well, you thought to yourself, the bed was big enough for two, everything seemed to be perfectly cleaned and the staff were really polite to everybody. You could barely wait for the breakfast you would have in the morning.
Rolling and stretching your neck, you decided you should tire yourself until you could not keep your eyes open, but how? If you were in a cartoon, a lamp would appear on the top of your head to symbolize you just had an idea.
That is how you ended up at the hotel gym. It was, of course, empty, but the lights were on the moment you crossed the glass doors and there was all the basic equipment for you to do the usual exercises you would do at the gym back where you lived. After some minutes, you noticed it was awkwardly silent and were losing the desire to workout, so you took your phone and opened your music app, clicking on the one you knew would boost your energy.
The first chords blared through your speakers and you punched the air to the beat, a smile coming up to your face and your body started to get excited, jumping on the same place.
— Rising up, back on the street! Did my time, took my chances...
After a sort of box warm-up to the music, you took two light weight lifts and used one as your microphone and the other to exercise your arm.
— And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night and he's watching us all with the... eye of the tiger! — You lifted the weight in the air, feeling like the one and only Rocky Balboa winning endless fights.
Unbeknownst to you, in the middle of your private show, another hotel guest came into the gym room and watched you dance and jump and exercise around with your eyes closed most of the time, but when you opened them, your back was either facing the big mirror or the equipment the person was using.
At the time your show was ending, you opened your eyes and looked around, noticing a boy seated on the leg press machine looking directly at you. Being the scaredy cat you always were, you jumped on the place and let out an ungraceful surprised sound, act that scared him.
— Shit! Sorry, I didn’t see you there, I was too distracted with...
— With your show, yeah — The guy chuckled, doing the leg exercise five more times. — I’m sorry, I didn’t want to scare you, I just came here and you were singing and having so much fun I would feel bad interrupting you.
— Ah… — You looked away, pressing stop on the current song that was playing. — You saw everything?
— Not everything, just from the first chorus. It was not bad. The song is really good to workout.
You spent seconds in silence, deciding if you should go away, try to sleep, or keep exercising, since you were not that tired yet. Looking up at the boy, you saw him getting up and fiddling with the weight lifts and, damn, he was gorgeous, visually your ideal type: tall, harmonic face features — his nose was so sharp —, plump lips, nice hair, broad shoulders, but not too buff, incredible thighs and, on top of all that, his smile, that you saw when he first talked, was cute and his voice…
— I can go away if I’m making you uncomfortable.
For your misery, you were so caught up on his appearance that you almost did not hear him, but you did and you quickly answered:
— No, no! I’m okay, really! You can stay.
He rubbed his nape and sat on the pec deck machine, taking off some of the absurd weight quantity left there.
— Why are you here? Couldn’t sleep either?
You nodded, frowning, and sat on the equipment beside his, you two looking at each other through the mirror. When you paused the exercise series, he stretched his hand to you and asked for your name, you gave it to him and asked for his. It was Mingi. Mingi, the tall handsome boy, who enjoyed your crazy performance of Eye of the Tiger.
— Why are you at the hotel? — he started a small talk.
— Job trip. You?
— Me? The same.
— What a coincidence.
— Yeah — He pressed his lips together. He noticed you did not know him, otherwise you would have shown some sort of excitement, and that kind of affected his ego, but he understood he was not that famous, you had no obligation knowing him. Would he tell you he was an idol from a rising South Korean boy group? No, he was not. Why? He did not know exactly, but it felt nice talking to someone without having to be Mingi from Ateez, just a normal guy with a normal life.
— From what company you are, if you do not mind me asking? You must have an important job to be here.
— What? What do you mean?
— Ah, I'm sorry if I understood wrong, but I think you aren’t from here. The way you talk kind of gives it away.
— Ah! Yeah, I’m from South Korea, my English isn’t too good.
— I think it’s nice — You shrugged your shoulders, smiling shyly.
He contained a smile and tried to lessen his embarrassment towards your compliment by saying he was from a company called KQ and he worked with marketing.
You two talked and exercised for more time than you should have, but one thought the other was just super cool to talk to.
— Do you want help?
You looked at him confused, not understanding what he was offering, and he got shy because of that or maybe it was because you were too beautiful and were looking straight in his eyes.
— With the push-ups on the bar. I saw you trying to do them while the song gave you a boost of energy, but you… failed?
Embarrassment defined you at that moment. What a disgrace he caught you doing that disgraceful exercise that you always hated. It’s not your fault you had arms weaker than necessary to support your own weight. So you nodded, and he helped you, politely holding your waist after getting your consent and pushing you up repeatedly.
— That's it! You're doing good!
He slowly let you and you almost fell, your arms stretching almost painfully to hold yourself to the equipment. You looked back at him with a pout on your lips.
— Guess that's not your strong point yet.
∘◦❀◦∘
In the morning, when you exited the elevator to go to the hotel restaurant, you saw Mingi sitting at a table with seven other boys, who you supposed were his work colleagues, although, unlike you, they were not wearing formal clothes, they looked like normal boys.
Last night, when you both decided to go back to your rooms, you were sleepy and tired, and still your mind kept thinking about the handsome man you had met earlier. Nor any different, Mingi felt his cheeks hurting from smiling and laughing so much with you.
You looked at the boys and tried to meet Mingi's eyes to say hi, since he was such an agradable company last night. However, he seemed to be arguing with a red-haired boy, so you went to get your food, which looked and tasted very good, just like you expected.
Some minutes later, while you were checking your messages, a deep excited voice sounded in front of you:
— Hi, good morning!
— Morning, Mingi! — You lifted your head to meet the smiley face.
— Did you sleep well after working out? Aren’t you sore right now?
You chuckled, shaking your head and saying, by now, you were too used to working out.
— I’m okay. How about you? You said you were nervous about your presentation, are you better?
— Yeah, my friends, those over there, comforted me. Do you mind if I sit here?
When you shook your head and pointed to the chair in front of you, he quickly sat down with his plate full of food.
— You have quite a big group with you for your job.
— Ah, yes — He looked back at the boys, that were all "discreetly" staring at him. — They are nice guys.
— I think they want their friend back — You chuckled and felt your face a little hot.
— Nah! They are okay without me for a minute. I prefer being with you.
— I'm honored — you joked and went back to eat while talking to Mingi, getting to know each other better. Outside of the gym, he looked like a giant sized teddy bear as he was giggly, excited and seemed comfortable to hug. Not that you were thinking about hugging him, of course not.
Breakfast was truly enjoyable because of the food and the company, but everything good lasts short, so you had to say goodbye and go to your room to dress up for your workshop.
Hours later, when you were taking a break for all that business, you saw something on the TV local news channel that almost made you spit your cheap machine coffee.
"Rising South Korean K-Pop boy group, Ateez, is currently in our city to do a concert at the…"
The concert information did not matter. What mattered a lot was Mingi and his friends being addressed as famous singers and performers.
— He- What?! Rapper?
— Didn't you know them? — A co-worker asked, showing you her phone case with a picture of Mingi. — I love them so much! The concert is tonight and I'll be going!
Wow.
∘◦❀◦∘
— Hey, you! How was your workshop?
The tall man came your way when he found you in the elevator. He was glowing, his hair was a bit wet and his mouth was shaped into a big smile. Mingi probably had fun at his own concert.
— It was good, interesting. The best part was when I found out which type of marketing you worked on — you chuckled, crossing your arms.
— Oh…
— Oh — you repeated, bumping on his arm. — It's okay, mister one of the best rappers of the generation.
The elevator's doors opened and he got out along with you, not caring that that floor was not his. He joined his hands in front of his body and called you, who was ahead of him.
— I'm… I'm sorry I lied to you, I just-
You faced him and tilted your head, smiling softly at the tall man making himself so small in front of you.
— Why are you saying sorry? I don't mind if you are famous, I'm not a crazy fan… yet. My new co-worker will probably make sure I become one.
He laughed and threw his head back. So different in a matter of milliseconds.
— That is good news to me, thanks. I got so scared for a second. But… will you spread anything of me on the internet?
— No, don't worry — you laughed. — But I am curious about something…
He raised his head, eyes a little big waiting for your next words.

【 Recap: From His Eyes 】, 【 Recap: Campus Cat, Sly Kitten 】
You don’t know how much time you had spent hiding in the storage room of the Arts Department. All you know is that you’d been starving yourself of all technology & distraction just to catch San in private.
It didn’t feel like forever, in fact, you thought that you’d only been here for around an hour or so. But as soon as you caught wind of San’s voice, it was as if your muscles had been dormant for an eternity and the adrenaline in your body kicked it into action.
“Listen, for the last time,” You roll your eyes and lean back against the wall. “I didn’t mean to pull you that hard.”
San, who sits opposite from you, is sprawled on the stray couch— no doubt looking like the models they bring in for the art students assignments. He cradles his arm close to his chest and rubs his hand over it, acting like it’s a damn animal he saved from the pouring rain.
“You could have told me you wanted to meet in the storage room, you know.” He pouts and you try not to cringe as he presses his lips tenderly to his skin.
“What do you want me to do about it now? Do you want me to baby you and kiss your boo-boo better?” Creasing your brow in an exaggerated manner, you jut your bottom lip out and start to speak, tone filled to the brim with pity. “Is the poor kitten hurt? Did I bruise the baby’s little paw?”
Pursing his lips, San lets out a small breath and glares at the corner of the room. “I would’ve liked it if you weren’t being fake about it.”
Despite his whining behaviour, you watch him squirm a bit in his seat and it doesn’t take much to know that it isn’t his arm he’s really worried about. His gaze darts to the door warily when he hears something from the hallway and a real frown works its way onto your face as he presses himself further into his seat.
You would be a whole lot more sensitive yourself if you knew that anyone around you could be responsible for a curse that could quite possibly ruin your life.
Sighing, you get up from your place on the dusty floor, and walk over to join him. “Scoot over.”
He gives you a pointed look before relenting and huddles himself into the corner of the couch. San hasn’t exactly been one for physical reassurance or comfort in the time you’ve known each other, but he doesn’t shy away when you reach out to grab his hand.
“Are you doing ok?”
There’s a seconds pause where he treads his gaze on your fingers, following the way your thumb moves back and forth over his knuckles. “Yeah. I’m doing fine.” His shoulders start to relax as he focuses on the small movement of your hand. “Haven’t transformed much at all since Thursday.”
You frown. “You know that’s not what I meant right?”
“I know.” San says softly. “But I’m fine either way.”
He’s refused to meet your gaze the moment you dragged him in here, but you don’t need to look into his eyes to know he’s lying. And he knows he’s being obvious simply by the way you stare at him, causing him to shift uncomfortably and tilt his head up to the ceiling.
“I guess Yunho’s a bother, if you really want me to be frank.” San changes the subject rather subtly, reminding you of the real reason you had got him to meet you here in the first place. He slips his hand out of yours to check his phone. “I mean, he’s only worried about me, I’m sure. But it’s not much of a help when he makes me hide under carefully curated piles of pillows.”
You nod, and press your lips to stop yourself from smiling too hard at the image San’s comment brings you. “He actually had come by yesterday to talk to me about the cat that so magically appeared at Bambam’s house, an entire neighbourhood away from my apartment.”
San cringes at the memory and pulls his knees into his chest. “I’m guessing you had to come up with a lie about how I got there?”
“Not exactly.” He glances up at you for the first time and his expression is nothing short of curious. “Mingi, was actually the one that ended up covering your tracks. And he did a rather fine job at distracting your dear friend while I slipped away.”
A small laugh escapes his lips and San grins teasingly. “No shit. Yunho’s got such a giant fucking crush on Mingi, I swear he almost failed his final last year because the man smiled at him.”
He pauses, apparently realizing the words that came out of his mouth, before his eyes widen. You grin in return and gingerly nudge his shoulder.
“You understand what I’m talking about now, don’t you?”
Sans his face brightens and he starts to perk up the more he lets the thought pool around in his head. By the time he stops fidgeting, he’s already crouching on the cushion underneath him, resting his head on his hand thoughtfully.
“Of course,” He says, more to himself than to you. “If we can’t do much with Yunho always chasing after us, then it makes sense that we find a way to distract him or throw him off our track.”
“And what better way than to set him up with someone who makes him forget his own name?” The two of you trade an excited glance and all the previous worry in San’s body melts away, replaced by a sense of relief.
“How long do you think they’ll need before they actually start dating?”
“Less than a week, honestly,” San snorts and disregards how your eyebrow quirks up at his answer. Instead, he brings up Yunho’s DM and hovers his fingers over the keyboard. “Yunho’s been waiting for the chance to confess to Mingi for so long now, I’m surprised he hasn’t died of impatience.”
You stare at his screen as he continues to think of a message to send, trying not to comment about how their previous conversations have gone. There’s a small collection of texts from the past few days, all of which have been from Yunho, that ask where he is and why he hasn’t come home yet. And judging by the way all of them have been unanswered, you can’t help but get the feeling that maybe sending a message now wasn’t the best idea.
“Don’t you think we’ll need to set a day first?” You say hesitantly, moving your attention towards the ground before he can catch you staring.
“Why not tomorrow?” San responds, already typing the suggestion down. “The faster we can solve this, the faster we can solve everything else.” He pauses. “Unless you or Mingi aren’t free..?”
You bite your lip and take one more look at San’s screen. The message is already ready to send and it seems that he’s taken the liberty to choose the location. His thumb taps against the side of his phone restlessly and you realize he’s waiting for you to make the final decision.
“We’re free.” You hold back from saying anything else and let the gleeful smile on San’s face reach his eyes, finally genuine.
It’s not exactly your right to be expressing your concern over the previous one-sided conversations Yunho’s had with San. You have to remind yourself of this the entire time he fixes a few words from his message before sending it. Other than San’s fluffy, four pawed problem, you don’t know much else than what he lets people see on the surface.
“Hey,” His voice makes you focus back on the present as he finally pockets his phone. “If you don’t mind me asking, why did you choose this storage room specifically?”
“Oh, uh,” You rub your hand over your cheek, covering your face from the embarrassment of being caught off guard. “Jongho recommended it to me actually.” A sheepish smile makes its way onto your face. “I asked where it would be best to do something in private on campus.”
San furrows his eyebrows and for a moment you think he’s going to ask you about the red tint on your cheeks. Yet the mischievous smile on his face says otherwise and a small twinge of nervousness works its way into your chest.
“What?”
“Nothing.” He lies, snickering and waving his hand to dismiss the concerned expression painted on your face. “It’s just that Jongho’s the only one who knows where I used to go when I would hook up with people on campus in freshman year.”
You blink blankly at him. Until you finally comprehend what he said and leap away from the couch.
“Oh my god!” You gag, wiping your body and pressing yourself against the farthest wall from that cursed piece of furniture. “You are fucking disgusting you know that right?”
“I’m kidding.” San laughs at your reaction and has the audacity and arrogance to lounge on that thing with a sly grin on his face. “Although, I have made out with someone here once or twice.”
“Yeah, well.” You narrow your eyes and raise your middle finger in the air. “Fuck off.”
