Simon Scarring & Aftermath Speculations

I just saw this on Instagram, had to double-take and then went "OH THIS IS CANON SCAR PLACEMENT TO ME" ... and then I saw who liked the post too.

The visceral tone difference between the colorful blanket and utter destruction on Simon's face. This is the kind of jarring shit I want to see in this crossover! The chunky black sutures, blind in one eye *taps symbolism pinboard aggressively*, the blood acting as an acid and leaving permanent marks across his eyes from where it hit him in the face and then mutated earlier into red splotches.

Grace, Rocky and Armando alone would've had to entirely remove the masses on his face plus the bone cancer that was rapidly infecting his skull and jaw area ("teeth") while simultaneously trying to save his jaw. He'd have spent probably a long time with his mouth wired shut, would have a dysfunctional TMJ and facial nerve damage. He'd probably only get to smile with one half of his face. Simon would be lucky to even be smiling at all... and I think that would scare him.

Grace would unfortunately be watching Simon for reoccurring bone growths after that, probably all up in his neck in skull area. If not for the radiation (which we've pretty much disproved since SM-13 has lead shielding), after studying the SM-8's cellular structure and gene sequencing samples provided by the film, I can ballpark that AT-5's blood leeches onto and tricks your genetic code into thinking that the foreign body is sending signals from your own body. It's a fucking hijacker and stops your white blood cells in their tracks by just... adapting into your bloodstream, and it's an extremely unstable mutagen without something to control it (e.g. The Eye... somehow... still working on that one). It's dangerous. It can grow entirely randomly and it's terrifying.

The samples we were given were crustaceous in nature if you can believe it!

Anyway, AT-5 blood absolutely got in Simon's bloodstream. The dangers aren't over at all because Simon's at risk for spontaneously having the above photo happen to him. Again. Dude's a walking time bomb.

Man. I want 100k words of Simon trying to figure out how to live while being half unrecognizable and on borrowed time. Ugh. Give me brutal realist takes on a post-canon story. Save him and then torture him some more, I say!
