When one thinks of Joe Strummer’s classic quote “Always wear shoes that are good for running or fighting”, one can safely assume that is Mark E. Smith is not the kind to run or fight.

RIP Fred Cole (August 28, 1948 – November 9, 2017: The Lollipop Shoppe, King Bee, The Rats, Dead Moon and Pierced Arrows).
A garage punk legend and a true from the heart rock ‘n’ roller since the ‘60s. My heart goes out to Toody Cole, his love after 50 years of marriage and life on the road. It’s been a hell of ride.
“I’m so sorry to have to let you know that Fred lost his battle with cancer & passed away peacefully in his sleep last night, Nov 9, 2017. Thank you one & all for all the years & memories we all shared together, for being friends first & business partners second, so proud to be a part of your lives. Fred had that quality of being “immortal” and I believe his songs & recordings will make it so. We can always hear his voice & his passion there and remember it like it was only yesterday & will go on forever.
I love you all, Toody”
