If you think that crows are just a noisy nuisance, well then you are just aware with the half truth. They don’t only create noisy disturbances but also can damage the crops and vegetation. People often ignore the fact that they can be the carriers of different kinds of disease. It becomes really annoying when you find the crows creating a mess in your home environment. It irritates the home owners when they find the crows still sitting after they have cleaned up their yard and have removed the trash.
The problem crows can be sorted out by some tried and true scare tactics. If you look back in the past then you will find that the scarecrow is the most used scare tactic for crows. You can place or hand a few plastic owls where the crows sit in the group. It will scare them away as owls are a predator of crows. One of the finest tactics is to use the old CD’s and hand them at porch, deck or tree branches. Crows are not the fans of shiny objects.
The problem crows can be solved with the use of the sounds. You can make some noise like clap sounds which can keep the crows away. The problem comes when they get used to the voice and then refuse to react to it. It is quite normal with the sound of claps. Moreover it is not feasible for the people to stand physically at a place and keep on making the noise to scare the crows. As and when the people leave the place, crows return to the area. So the best idea is to use the sound programs. Crows don’t like loud sounds. The programmed sounds are a good alternative to keep them away from fields. It works on a much larger area. You don’t need to put in repeated efforts to make the sound. You can get the sounds programmed at intermittent times.
The unexpected and the loud sound serve to frighten off crows. Crows cannot judge the timings and assumes that the predators or the people are around which forces it to stay away from the field or the home surroundings.
