From an early age, Francesco knew that he wanted to be just like the superheroes he saw on tv. They were professional wrestlers such as John Cena and Rey Mysterio that really stood out to him. The way they pulled you in seemingly effortlessly just by going out there and performing to their very best. That was incredible. Francesco tried several sports growing up: kickboxing, soccer, swimming, basketball, tennis but none of those ever stuck with him as much as wrestling. He grew up in Italy where pro wrestling didn’t even crack the top 100 sports that people associated with it so the pursuit was already a giant obstacle. It wasn’t impossible though, he started at Italian Championship Wrestling which happened to only be a 15 minute drive.
Francesco debuted at 15 and for 11 years has been continuing to grow his passion. He often jokes it’s the only thing he’s “kinda” good at. He’s signed with NJPW as apart of United Empire and is a former 3x IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion. He’s only 26 but is already making waves little by little. Not much is known about Akira’s personal life so with bits from his IG, this will be tweaked a bit. When he’s not wrestling, he enjoys spending time with his mom and his brother. He also enjoys traveling as he’s always taking pictures of new sites and new cities that he would’ve never seen if it wasn’t for his career. He goes back and forth between Italy and Japan (and sometimes America) where he is frequent in all 3 languages. He’s a nice guy to his core but he doesn’t let his small presence be taken advantage of so he will stand up for himself if he feels like you’re out of line.
I’ll be portraying him as pansexual and I would like to base any ships on chemistry between writers and interaction.
Like I said before, Francesco is a very new character for me. I’m not going to lie to you and say that I’m faithful in watching New Japan but I do catch shows when I can. For the sake of the portrayal and needing to expand my wrestling taste anyway, I’m changing that so wish me luck! Since Francesco is apart of United Empire and NJPW, of course those connections are always welcomed. Just let me know and I’ll add you below.
