Yet, there was a nagging in the back of her mind that told her despite how it may seem, the new rulers wouldn’t go to those lengths. Or so she had hoped and apparently, her hopes were correct.“Why don’t we let Ben have some space, mm?” Gentle words as hands attempt to guide the on comers shoulders back, prying them off the young man before ushering them into another direction; praises of long live the king falling from their mouth. “As much as it gladens me to see you alive, I imagine you’ll come to encounter a few more people just like them.”
Ben gave the relieved citizen a warm smile as he continued to reassure them before a women helped physically pry them off. It was still nice to know that there was concern for him and his family. He was not ignorant to the climate of his rule, he knew some citizens blamed him for letting the villains and vks off the Isle but he still remained by his decision. “Believe me, I don’t mind.” He chuckled, speaking earnestly because it was much better to be smothered by hugs rather than feeling smothered by four walls. “I’m glad to see many of the citizens are still as well as they can be.”
