        with  most  of  the  festivities  taking  place outside, as one would expect when a celebration was hosted at a palace as beautiful as highgarden, the library was pleasantly quiet, allowing nikolai to look over an array of documents that ranged from notes of the latest small council meeting to reports on the latest harvest. a lesser man might forsake such tasks in exchange for joining the celebration, but there was still a kingdom beyond highgarden’s walls, and it was his duty to help look after it. the sound of footsteps walking through the maze of bookshelves made his writing slow before coming to a halt as the person drew nearer. nikolai glanced up.      ❝   the library is very vast. do you require assistance finding something?   ❞

She felt suffocated, and she knew that it was all in her mind but she found solace in being on the balcony. Plus, she managed to grab some food before heading out. “I have to give this land credit, their food is amazing” she smiled, placing a hand on her cheek as she savoured the food. “IT’S RATHER BORING OUT in the gardens , isn’t it?” Alannys asked , pushing the large door closed as she walked intside of High Garden. Flowers became monotonous when there was nothing to diversify it. Though one could say the same of the sea , she supposed , when one didn’t care for it all that much.
