I posted this on Facebook and it seemed to hit the people that needed to hear it. I thought I'd share here in case someone could use words like this right now. I wish I could time travel. Even just once. I'd travel back to 5 minutes before Robin Williams decided to take his own life. I'd show him my Facebook feed and the endless stream of love that I've been reading through. I'd also show him the profound sadness left in everyone's hearts. No matter what you're going through, no matter how dark the path ahead seems, no matter how weary you are, remember one thing: Someone, somewhere wants and needs you to keep going. You don't have to rush. Just don't stop. One foot in front of the other. Repeat that. Repeat it again. Whatever you do, just don't stop. If you absolutely feel like you can't lift your foot again, that one more step is just too much to bear, reach out. I promise you there is a someone that will answer the call. If you are reading this it's a guarantee because you are my friend. If you can't walk further I will carry you. If the weight is just too much for both of us I will drag you. But, I will not let you stop! Please, please don't hide your pain and let it consume you. There is help, there is hope. I also urge everyone to make sure your friends know how much they mean to you. I know we all get complacent about this, I'm as guilty as anyone, but we have to be conscious of how powerful it is to show love to those around us. You never know when something as simple as a hug can completely change someone's day... or their life.
