Her hands still shaking, her head whipped around at the sound of someone’s voice. Quickly, she let her hands rest on her lap, hoping he wouldn’t be able to see them. If anyone would even get a hint of the mess she really was, she probably wouldn’t be able to forgive herself. “I’m actually quite good, this piano is just rubbish.” It was a lie, but the brunette was hoping he wouldn’t notice.
He caught glance of her shaking hands, curious as to why they were shaking in the first place, but didn’t care much to ask. Instead he kept in his spot, leaning against the wall casually and shaking his head. “Yeah, I’m going to call bullshit on that.” he remarked, obviously not buying her excuse. He shrugged like he didn’t care, but was almost mocking her in a way. “But hey, what do I know? You’re probably the bigger band geek between the two of us.”
She clenched her jaw in irritation to the boy's disbelief. "Believe what you want to believe." Candace was slowly regaining her confidence and the shaking had became a lot less than before. "I'm far from a band geek. I just happen to enjoy some good music every once in a while."
