How could someone like her be in a place like this? The clash between her personality and her job intrigues me. I see her commanding her subordinates with a stern face and a tone in her voice that leaves no room for any doubt, negotiating for the highest price for an assassination or a torture well done. Then when she is at home she wears fluffy socks and runs to see how far she can slide on the floor with them, and when she travels to Fontaine for work she loves to drop to the grass and roll down the hill.
About Lotus: First meeting
To be looked in the eye and talked to without any fear showing in the other person’s face or voice—I had forgotten how it felt like.
When she visits the House of the Hearth, she does activities with the children to ‘expand their minds’; the other night she built a telescope so they could see the stars above. At the end of her visit all they ask is when will she be visiting again.
About Lotus: When no one knows (I)
She is, amongst many things, an assassin who doesn't fit the usual profile one would expect but her skills prove that she is more than capable for the job.
About Lotus: When no one knows (II)
I would advise you to not insist on matters I am not willing to share.
About Lotus: When people know
She is an unexpected turn in my life brought to me by fate.
I worry she might be too trusting for the life she chose. A heart as big as hers is a double-edged sword and a commission might go wrong should someone else wanted to take advantage of that.
She is like no one else I’ve ever met, anything I know about her makes me want to know even more. The life I have now is a result of the choices I’ve taken and I’m glad I got to meet her. Arlecchino is the type of person that once you meet her you can't imagine your life without her, that's why I appreciate every moment I spend with her, because it may be the last one we share together. Also I really love her voice, I could spend the rest of my days listening to her.
About Arlecchino: First meeting
I attended a ball, saw her standing by herself and decided to talk to her. I didn't know so many people were afraid or wary of her and that's why she was by herself. I can't understand why that is, she is a really interesting person.
A little girl came running towards me to hand me a drawing of Arlecchino, me and the children of the House. When I asked her why ‘Mother’ was written by my head she answered “Because Father kisses Mother!” Later I told Arlecchino about it and she just ruffled the child’s hair.
I waved at her while she was having a powdered sugar pastry and I may have startled her because the powder ended on her clothes. I will get her another pastry as an apology.
About Arlecchino: When no one knows (I)
She is a strong woman, feared by many and respected by everyone. That will be all I share with you for now.
About Arlecchino: When no one knows (II)
[chuckles] You know what happens when you insist on asking the wrong questions, don’t you? I’m joking! It’s not that I don't want to tell you, it’s just I’m not sure how much information I can give you. Ask me again later.
About Arlecchino: When people know
I’m saying this with all the love I hold in my heart for her: she has made my job more difficult, just a bit. Imagine trying to intimidate someone, blade to their throat or gun to their head and you start giggling because you remembered a funny comment she said last night before going to bed. That could be seen as unprofessional, I have to take a moment to be in the right mindset.
Sometimes I wonder about Arlecchino becoming a target, of course I wouldn't take the commission, I believe hers is a life I can't put a price on. However, I’m aware I'm not the only one in the market. Killing her would be no easy feat, I know she can handle but—I just worry.

Are his jokes really good?

[whispering] I’m telling you I saw her blushing. No one wants to believe me but I know what I saw!
