here’s a couple drawings I did for alex that probably won’t appear in the bird book
Order PSYCHOPOMPS from Civil Coping Mechanisms/The Accomplices! Advance Praise for Psychopomps: “Alex addresses questions many of us aren’t brave enough to ask—about the lives we choose for …
Hi, this book is by my friend Alex DiFrancesco! Also, the cover art is by me, Jam Jacobs! I drew that picture, and my friend put it on their memoir. It is a book that you can buy, and then you get an awesome book by my friend (in which i appear briefly as a character) as well as a drawing i did of my canonized girlfriend holding a bowl of ramen.
Also, it seems that more of my art will be featured on the cover of their upcoming book “bird is the word” about an old man singing to his bird. I’m super pumped that my weird drawings are making it onto the covers of books, being printed, and sent out into the world. This is a better outcome than I could have ever expected, really, when I started a blog posting squiggly drawings of musicians.
i sketched this like a year ago to use as a piano lesson advertisement and only got to digitally inking it like today
sometimes i forget that i don’t like need a tablet and stylus to work on digital art. i can make like tidy enough linework with the curve tool.
NYC peeps, if you need a piano lesson, hit up jams, they are possibly the only piano teacher in the NYC area.
Thanks! Also if you want a drawing for your advertisement! Hit me up!

I finally bought some new paints, to share with Amanda. I went all out and got the 16 Color crayola set, which has a really nice magenta. Here are some that I like from March. But I also painted more since then, that I haven’t scanned in yet. So that’s all for now!
By the time I got to this set, Amanda and I (mostly I) had depleted some of my favorite colors to paint with, from her set. Red, yellow, and purple were almost gone, but there was still an abundance of green, brown, orange, and black. I wanted to get a new set of paints for Amanda, but I knew that first I needed to use up a little more of these neglected colors. These are from March or so.
several months ago, i got some watercolor paper for my girlfriend’s daughter so she could make the best use of a crayola watercolor paint set she already had at our house. i tried them out of course, got very into it, and subsequently used up all of amanda’s paints. (i replaced them.) i’ve been meaning to share some of the paintings. these three were my very first.
Hello! I was in a play recently and I made the program image. Since the computer I use for graphics died last year, this illustration had to be done 100% OFF the computer... new grounds for me, sort of! Historically I’ve done a lot of my drawing - and almost all of my coloring - digitally.
The performance was also a really fun experience. Our group of co-creators is called The Transgenerational Theatre Project and the goal is to unite different generations of trans people and make theatre together. It’s really nice to have a dedicated space to bond with trans siblings of all different ages and experiences.
For the project this year, I made my focus music instead of acting, so I got to write some new music and perform a bunch throughout the show. Also, one of the actors couldn’t make the last few performances, so I got to fill in for them and portray a nonbinary parent of a nonbinary child. That was a lot of fun. I wore a tie and pretended to smoke a pipe.
Anyway, it was so fun to draw and paint these bears! So I think I want to do more illustrations.
Oh and it's not much but i made this little sign for the pothos in my office
Oh hey
Yeah i basically stopped drawing. So sad. I'm going to post my knitting and stuff here instead.
To start off, I made this bag
i drew some noses
i drew a spooky child
I love the narwhal character i have added to my comic but they are so hard to draw, in certain poses. Drawing a narwhal from the side is all very well and good but if i have it look forward at all the horn gets shorter and shorter until it looks like a third eye due to foreshortening, I guess? Trying to figure out perspective is brain-breaking. I was considering adding more narwhal characters but maybe I will just have them be another kind of whale instead.
Here is a photo of the new desk setup, as you can see it is very basic atm but comes equipped with plants some books and a window cat
i got a desk set up for myself again, here’s a cat i scribbled just now
