Original post:
Hey guys! I just wanted to make this post to thank everyone who participated in the crustables fanart week!!!
We got so so many submissions and I’m looking forward to making this a yearly occasion!! Please submit any and all ideas for a future crustables anniversary week like prompts, possible changes to make anything smoother, or just general ideas! I am open to anything lol.
I’ll pin this message so anyone who finds this blog knows that even though the event is over, follow along for next year!
Hope you all enjoyed as much as I did, see you next year!
Sometimes I get on this account and ask myself, this is not my beautiful house (main blog) and this is not my beautiful wife (mutuals). And I ask myself, how did I get here? (scrolling on the dash for the crustables week account because i forgot to log out)
Context: Azara is an original character of mine introduced in Someone To Trust. For those who haven’t read it: she’s a young rattlesnake ferin who basically got attached to Falst and adopted him and Dainix as her parents.
“Falst?” Azara plopped down in front of where Falst sat tinkering with a fire lacrima.
“Yeah?”
“Why do you always wear that?” Azara pointed to the scarf Falst wore around his waist. Sometimes he wore it like a regular scarf, but most of the time he wore it like a sash. “Are you cold?”
Dainix chuckled from where he sat doing weapons maintenance on the other side of the room.
Falst gave a small smile. He sometimes forgot that Azara didn’t seem to feel the heat of the desert like he did. “The opposite, actually. It keeps the heat off me.”
Azara tilted her head in curiosity. “How? Aren’t scarves usually to keep you warm?”
“Yeah, just not this one. It was made specifically to keep heat and fire away, since I’m not exactly heat- or fire-proof.”
“Woah!” Azara’s eyes widened in amazement. “That’s so cool! How’d you get it?”
Falst looked over to Dainix, who was a better storyteller than Falst was. “Do you want to tell her, or should I?”
“Hey, you’d know how to tell it best. I wasn’t exactly experiencing it like you were.”
“Why not?” Azara asked.
Falst smirked, the remembered stress of the experience dulled by time and Azara’s excited curiosity. “Dainix was busy being a rock.”
“What?!” Azara stared at Dainix in awe, “You can do that?”
Dainix laughed awkwardly. “Technically, yes. Thankfully it’s only really happened once. Like I said, Falst could tell you better than I could.”
“What’s there to tell? I just had to rob an active volcano, that’s all.”
“You what?!” Azara got up right in front of Falst and stared at him with big, pleading eyes, practically bouncing with excitement. “Tell me tell me tell me!”
“Okay, okay.” Falst laughed. “Remember that thing about Dainix being able to transform into a warrior made of fire?”
All the miles I've gone, and the road still wove in the darkness
But oh, my stubborn heart drove ahead regardless, regardless

Day 3 for @crustables-fanart-week! Prompt was beach/ocean!! (pretend the boat looks like a boat haha)
Just please don't say you love me,
cause I might not say it back.
Doesn't mean my heart stops skipping
when you look at me like that
