“—Oh my God.” Phantom jumped out of the way in time to narrowly miss a throwing knife zoom between her and the perp she had pinned to a wall. She hadn’t gotten quite used to phasing in and out on instinct, usually just phasing out completely when bullets or other objects come flying at her. In that brief moment Phantom and the robber were separated, he vanished. Frustrated, Phantom turned her head to where he knife had come from, and started at the figure, “Hey, are you kidding me?”
Oh shit. Darcy quickly pivoted, taking cover behind the door, hoping whomever was holding her criminal to the wall, hadn’t seen her. “Maybe try to not block my target next time? I’m giving you enough warning this time, move, before I actually hit you this time.”
