People be like, “Oh I just started cross-stitch last week. It’s a brand new hobby, I love it so much. Here’s 20 pieces I’ve finished flawlessly already!” And i’m just here in the corner rocking back and forth wishing that I could remember the last time I had time to stitch that piece that isn’t even that big, but I’ve been working on forever.

Things I’ve learned from doing cross-stitch:

Nobody can tell you fucked up if nobody knew what your original plan was.

Don’t underestimate how easy it is to fuck up choosing colours

The more time you spend planning ahead and paying attention, the less time you spend fixing your mistakes.

Sometimes you just gotta let things be.

Nonviolent solutions are a necessary evil
