And you can’t blame me solely for the choices of our people. They      never wanted to get along.”

“You don’t think that entire situation could’ve been avoided? It was a mess, one that you and I are done talking about it. Harping on it solves nothing. It’s done and over with and now we move on. End of story.”

      “Pretty much. I mean, it might mess with my napping schedule but at least I’ll be able to be up later tonight I guess.”

“Well that’s better than insomnia that’s for sure.”

      “Some very intense anti-nausea drugs. We were hardly in the air twenty minutes before I was out like a light.”

“Yeah that makes sense. So you were just out for the whole flight. That’s nice. Catch up on the beauty sleep as they say.”

[ BASTIAN ]

“….If he’s being a dick, then be abrasive. Be yourself, don’t let your bosses or whomever tell you how to act–”

“Ah well, I am trying to fix things with the important people in my life as of late so being abrasive doesn’t seem to be a good idea. Granted I know that wouldn’t apply to everyday things I think it’s best I practice being a little less so in retrospect. All I know is I just want to avoid more trouble.”

[ CARINA ]

      “I kinda slept on the plane. Is it like, raining here?”

“I mean...not right now no. But how’d you manage to pass out on a flight? Jet lag?”

[ BASTIAN ]

“…..Uhm. Okay? I’m not…playing fake boyfriend. Last time I did that, I ended up sleeping with my best friend and it made things awkward, and Chrissie and I are very happy as things are.  Lana, why don’t you just tell him you’re not interested?”

“Yeah I tried that. He didn’t really get the hint, and my bosses said I should, in short and I quote, ‘be less of an abrasive’ so I tried being polite. But that’s beside the point, I’m not asking you to be my fake boyfriend, I just don’t want him to see me.”

“You’re South Italy correct? Carina’s your name if I’m not mistaken.”

    “Well, I guess you might never get rid of me then, hmm? Anyway- what’s gotten your nickers in a twist? Is it so horrible that I haven’t died yet? It’s only been- what? Twenty five years?

“Oh gee, I wonder what ever could be causing me distress! Oh wait! I know! It’s the fact that you-a symbol of a terror in my life-still exist. Do you have any idea how hard I’ve been working to recover from your existence?”

“You know that Constanta is a port city on the Black Sea? We get a moderate subtropical climate. But this has been one of unusual winters. Blame the climate on the Carpathians.”

“The eternal plight of season abnormalities. Besides I wouldn’t know, I haven’t been here in a fairly long time. That’s part of the reason I came. I wanted to see how you have been.”

“This is me. Feeling incredibly uncomfortable that your mention is my odd friendship with Kal. I’m a lot more than Kal’s friend. Like Belgium. Hi I’m Belgium. Or Bastian. Not just Kal’s friend.”

“Yes well I didn’t know that. I only know you based off what Kal has said so my apologies. I haven’t exactly acquainted myself with the other European nations personally. I’m Lana Vukoviċ, or Croatia.”

“Yep. Just like he described you.”

    “Gee, harsh… I mean, I may have dissolved and all, but as long as there’s Yugoslavian blood      within the people, I’m hanging around.”

“Oh yeah? How? Yugoslavic existence was a collection of Slavic countries there buddy. Which means, no specified ‘Yugoslavia’ no you. Make sense?”
