ive been on metaltok quite a lot lately and as much as i agree you shouldnt call yourself a metalhead for strictly listening to mainstream bands without digging deeper into the genre--people on tiktok take it too far and act like every person who uses a korn or slipknot audio is a poser , like they weren't even calling themself a metalhead they jus like korn/slipknot . liek there is no reason to call someone a poser if they're not even claiming to be part of the subculture to begin with. call this a nonissue or whatever but its been bugging me. for example, i get fred durst videos on my feed from time-to-time and the creator shows no signs of claiming to be a metalhead , yet their video is always getting stitched with some corny ass "ts so corny bro 'bread durst' final boss" with dying fetus in the background. idk im just upset how fucked up the metal side of tiktok is
