My friends don’t actually like me, I’m just there to be the ugly weird friend that makes them giggle cause cringe. Growing up, I realized it’s been that way 9/10 times. I don’t have anyone else.
If I was pretty … thin … sharp jawline … maybe I could finally fool people into liking me. Maybe people will finally be nice to me. Maybe I won’t be rejected and shunned by everyone including my family. Maybe I’ll be normal.
she was initially formed out of pottery clay but came to life because it was her true hearts wish to be friends with everybody in the world and the princess of the faeries helped her
"A Child’s View from Gaza" was an art exhibition showcasing drawings created by the children of Gaza.
"The captioned illustrations were created by Palestinian children who lived through the Israeli bombardment of Gaza in 2008-09. The pictures were drawn as part of an effort to help children deal with the horrors they had experienced. A Bay Area nonprofit, Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA), arranged to display a collection of these pictures at the Museum of Children’s Art in Oakland, California. However, under pressure from the Jewish Federation of the East Bay and other organizations, the museum backed out of the agreement at the last minute."
I’m not exaggerating when I say this post changed my life. Seeing this as a terrified self hating 17 year old was like finding a fresh water lake in the middle of the Sahara.
Thoughts on Burrow's End
This campaign is difficult to watch when two of the three white players are unintentionally monopolizing the game.
Brennan tried to include Rashawn, but she and Jasper fell by the wayside because Siobhan and Izzy went "Child characters!" and their sense of strategy and collaboration seemed to diminish. I don't think that was deliberate on their part. Siobhan made some conscious choices to be helpful, while Izzy has pushed every limit she's come across.
Aabria's GMing has improved so much and I wish she didn't have to wrangle her white players. She had so much more power during A Court of Fey and Flowers. There was just a better dynamic between her and the players that season.
I hope players will consider this aspect of party dynamics in the future. I don't like seeing Black players (or any BIPOC) having to make themselves small /:
Someone responded and called me wrong and gullible because they think I don't know how production works...? I was also told that the group is not my college buddies (😵💫?), and that if player conduct was a problem, it would have been addressed off-camera (I don't know whether it was or not)?
To clarify: I watch Dimension 20 as a writer and a strategist. I watch actual play the way baseball players watch baseball – how groups work together, how they weigh their options, what the players may have missed, where there were opportunities for a GM to step in. It's always a good learning experience for me, and Burrow's End has been a learning experience as well. It helps make me a better player.
Hope this clears up where I'm coming from. 🐾
