#𝔠𝔯𝔶𝔬𝔰𝔲𝔭𝔢, an independent and selective low activity felicity grier freeze girl of dcom's sky high. please note that my portrayal is heavily headcanon-based, do not mimic my portrayal. told by: vivian.
001. this blog is private and highly selective for my well being. i will only follow and interact with mutuals to ease my anxiety. please do not take it to heart if i do not follow you back. if i follow, it means i want to interact with you and your character!
002. do not interact with me if you condone rape, incest, racist, any phobic, ableist, or pedophilic actions or behaviors. if you are an underage mun or personal blog, you will be hard-blocked. click here for my banned list.
003. basic rp etiquette: trim your posts, no excessive godmodding --- unless plotted, be respectful, do not reblog threads that you're not in --- liking them is okay, and most importantly, have fun!
004. dark and mature themes will be present, themes such as and not limited to: death, parental / family death, parental neglect, grief, violence, and much more. triggering content will be tagged as: trigger /.
005. i am of age to write smut but i rarely write sexual content, the most you'll get from me is fade to black / next morning. by any chance i do decide to write it more in-depth, it will be under read-more and tagged as: nsfw / or usfw /.
006. as much as i love shipping, i also love plotting and developing ships. this includes and is not limited to: platonic, romantic, familial, unrequited, enemies, polyamory, etc. felicity's canon ship is with warren peace --- however, i will not assume they are dating unless plotted first. all i ask is that you do not force ship on me.
007. i will be primarily headcanon-based taking some of the movie's influence. she is a minor character with little information --- i developed her story, felicity will be treated as my own original character. i am duplicate-friendly, just don't mimic my portrayal.
008. regarding my formatting: i do tend to use regular icons, gifs, gif icons or completely iconless. i use a mixture of regular / small text with bold, italics, and links to empasise underlines. i seldom use colored text anymore but it appears here and there. please tell me beforehand if any of my formatting affects you in anyway and i will be more accessible to change it for your needs.
i know the movie was made in the early 2000's but i am still peeved of them introducing freeze girl's character being s*x**lly harassed by two male students. i know it was to show off the other students powers, but they could've done anything else to show her cryo ability ... but no.
while using her powers, felicity's hair changes from black to platinum and will shift back to its natural color. however, when she exerts herself some strands of her hair will stay platinum unable to shift back to her original hair color.
headcanon question(s): who are/were the griers? what are/were they like as a family unit? and what kind of impact did they have on felicity, if any?
who are/were the grier's?: the grier's were like any other family -- normal and mundane. that is at least what they tried to be perceived as, however, there is nothing normal about the grier family --- more exactly kristopher and felicity are anything but normal as they both are superhuman. melinda grier, the mother of felicity was the only thing normal about them. she kept kristopher and felicity grounded and was the main backbone of the family. that is, when she was still alive.
what are/were they like as a family unit?: before the tragic passing of melinda, the grier's were a close and loving family unit. they were each other's lifeline and closest confidants, but without melinda there to guide them --- kristopher and felicity's relationship soured. felicity began to take charge of the family's finances and income, while kristopher was swallowed whole by the loss of his wife. their roles switched, causing felicity to be her father's parent figure.
what kind of impact did they have on felicity, if any?: melinda's impact on felicity's life is a mixture of happiness, love, and grief. melinda was the glue of the family -- she was human and kept her daughter in check with reality. just because felicity had powers, doesn't mean it's the answer to every problem. melinda taught felicity to always handle difficulties with grace --- but if needed a punch in the face could do as well. after the passing of melinda, felicity begins to realize that not all heroes have happy endings and that with powers comes pain and grief. kristopher's impact on felicity has always been a "what not to do", back when he was an active hero he was always reckless and thought nothing could touch him let alone break him. but due to his recklessness, he caused the event of his wife's death. leaving his child motherless and him without his love. when he retired shortly after melinda's death, felicity began to care for his well-being rather than vice versa. without melinda's guidance and support, kristopher's lost his anchor to the world and humanity. he lost faith in heroes and himself.
