Yeah! It must have followed me home! Of course nothing has happened to anyone else! -Hannah
This is terrifying!!!
I can’t help but feel like I’m still being watched, even when I’m at home now.
NO WAY!!! I can’t believe we didn’t see it when we took the photo, I can’t believe it was watching us the entire time, do you see it?
We’ve been exploring for a good chunk of the day and have yet to find anything. Wish us luck!
The winner of our poll on Instagram is the Shadow People of Brown County. We will start our investigating on them in the GB area soon! Read below to learn more about them. The Shadow People of Brown County, WI are an urban legend originating on the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay campus, starting in the late 1980s when an unknown student first spotted one watching them in the arboretum that surrounds the campus. Sightings occur in clusters and have radiated outside of campus since the first one, namely in parks like Baird Creek. The figures have been compared to the Dark Watchers of the Santa Lucia Mountains, simply dark figures seeming to peek around trees. The sight of one is said to invoke terror, but it’s unknown if they have bad intentions, or if their foreignness is the cause of the fear response.
The Loch Ness Monster or “Nessie” for short is a large marine creature that some believe inhabits Loch Ness, Scotland. The reports that surround Nessie date back to ancient times. The first written account is found in a biography by St. Columba from 565AD. It is believed that Columba saved a swimmer who was bit and another who was about to be attacked before ordering it to “go back.” To which it obeyed. In 1933 the legend began to grow, and sighting began to become a more common thing. April that year a couple claimed to see a large creature that went under water and disappeared, by December a big-game hunter was chosen to locate it and claimed to find a large footprint. While Zoologists ended up debunking it, the sightings continued to grow.

What is interesting about the legend of Bigfoot is that it goes so far back and covers the entire world! While there are many different cultures throughout the world that believe in him, or have a legend that is similar, the name Bigfoot is generally attached to the mountainous Western region of North America. North American settlers have reports of Bigfoot that go back into the late 1800’s with people occasionally finding a footprint, having run ins or even catching a grainy far-off picture. There is a loose idea of what Bigfoot may be or even look like, but two things that remain the same are the fact that he is at least 7ft tall and very hairy.

Mothman is believed to be a large 10-foot black creature that has large wings and red eyes. The story of Mothman began in 1966 after two gravediggers in Clendenin, West Virginia saw a large figure fly over them. At the time there were articles that were going around talking about how there was a similar monster that was hanging out in the TNT part of town. About a year later the most infamous sighting of Mothman took place at the Silver Bridge – a suspension bridge over the Ohio River. Not long after Mothman was spotted at the bridge, it collapsed and killed 46 people. An investigation that took place found that there was a fracture in the suspension chain. Allegedly, Mothman has been sighted at many other disasters all over the world.
