$20 says White Diamond knew Pink faked her death this whole time, let Yellow and Blue think she died for 5 thousand years, and purposefully corrupted all of the gems on earth instead of destroying them because she wanted Pink to feel bad when she would inevitably come back to Homeworld.

The cluster tearing the planet apart would guarantee Pink having to leave the planet and possibly lead her to come back home.

Edit: just adding this at the bottom for more possible proof that white’s known all along plus possible extra foreshadowing for White being the one who purposefully corrupted everyone.

THEORY: white pearl was the original pink pearl

Our pearl was given to pink. The word used is “given” not “made for”. Why? Because our pearl was originally whites pearl. She came out defective, not pure white, and was given to Pink. What evidence is there for this? We will start with our pearl. She shares gem placement with white, something that is true for yellow and blue pearl with their diamonds as well. In her original outfit, she has similar design elements (pattern, no stockings) to white.

 “white pearl” has been damaged. Why? Because she was originally pink and not white. Evidence? She has Pink’s gem placement, gloves, stockings, and fluffy hairdo. 

I recoloured how I suspect they would look now if they had never been swapped.

White Diamond is connected to Rose’s room

Okay, so, we’ve already noticed that White Pearl and Rose’s room have had some odd coincidences.

For instance:

this has been pointed out by a few people.

but I was thinking: what if white diamond is connected to rose’s room?

what if she knew all along, and has been trying to contact steven (and maybe rose in the past) through her room???

after all, everything in rose’s room feels perfect and unnatural,

just like white pearl and white diamond.

i don’t know, i might add more onto this later because i dont have a lot of evidence yet, i just wanted to get a theory out there because i feel it could be plausible.

white diamond isn’t a gem

she is the first diamond, and gems–diamonds included–are made. then what the hell made her? someone? no one? would she even be a gem?

“she’s not like us. she isn’t even like them!” a direct confirmation. she isn’t like gems, and she isn’t like the diamonds, then what IS she like?

she’s a literal celestial light and/or pure burning energy–gems have concentrated physical forms, and yes, they are made of light–but it’s light that is contained and regulated. white diamond seems like she is out of control, almost like there’s too much of her for any other being to handle–and the scope of her power seems as if, either accidentally or purposefully, it’s literally torn homeworld apart.

again, she isn’t like a gem, and gems come from the ground–diamonds too. she probably didn’t emerge from a planet like every other gem. where else could she have come from? ah yes, space.
