Sailor Moon Crystal Episode 21 Reactions

Goddamit Mamoru, Give me emotions! Venus, you beautiful and attually look and feel like your distraught. 

I don’t know why but when Moon Pride kicks in it made me laugh a bit as it tends to take away from a serious situation. 

I’ll give it a pass that Chibiusa gave her that look, then again it’s a dream and with Usagi’s option of the kid, it makes sense. 

Sense we never saw the bed in there before, did Demande sleep on his chair?

Soooo We are just going to ignore his comment of the planet not being coimfortable? Alrighty then. 

So you add in the who ‘I wanna rule the universe’ thing technically early though it’s more of interested in seeing the amount of dimensions he could control. This makes more sense as Nemesis is outside of time and space so In theory you could invade other dimensions. 

Also if he did an announcement like that, how didn’t anyone know? The King was probably in spirit for at this point, Chibiusa had a chance to hear before she ran and Pluto stands at the gates of time and watches shit. 

So they made the kid look even more like Chibiusa? To explain Neo Queen Serenity’s mistake better? Or because Toei decided that a show supposively shot towards the older demographic could handle someone being burnt alive but not a kid dying, which with the child in the state she was when The Queen got there, it would make sense why she though he might have gotten to his child. Also that is not right out the Palace walls so The King’s memory is shot in his old age. 

Makes him say more instead of just attacking her to attempt to claim her doesn’t make sense. He would know he has little time to waste. Also that little girl is now going to have her life drained away by the Malefic Crystal and also be slowly poisoned to death, instead of dying quickly. 

Got to love when the overlay of the Queen doesn’t match Usagi as well as looks better. 

I’m sorry, if she could smack him away like that, why didn’t she do it when he was clearly going in for the kiss? In the Manga he quickly took it, leaving little time for her to react. In Crystal, he draws it out and gives her alot of time to react. 

Also If it’s not okay for Demande to force a kiss on Usagi, It’s not okay for Crystal Mamoru to force a kiss on her (And the scene I’m talking about when he forces Usagi to come close to him when she gives the body language and sounds she doesn't want it).

The Brooch should have not started to shine like that. Nemesis draws and absorbs power.

And Also It doesn’t make sense for this line to come from Demande. He wants her there, whether it be willing or forced. Rubeus is the one who would get a kick out of her corpse forever laying on Nemesis. Both are bad but Rubeus is the one who would get a kick out of her death, Demande wants her as a prize, to have forever. 

So we are cutting The Queen’s moment? Alrighty then...

Also Sailor Moon and the others? How about even Minako says their names? they are important. Also let’s cut the information about the planet from the scene. 

So Dramatic facial expressions only happen whn Usagi or Chibiusa are around? Okay then. At least the King looks a bit sad. 

... What I like about the scene in the Manga is that when The King talks about Chibiusa’s awakening to her powers, he looks fierce and determined that it will happen. You don’t get that same feel in crystal. It’s just a ‘Yah it will happen’ and moving on. 

In None of the versions of Sailor Moon, will I understand the mentality of sending a man to either slowly die on Nemesis or potential gain it’s power. Logically there is no way sending Phantom there would be a good idea. If he dies then you sentenced a man to a slow death (As it would probably drain him of his magic then life force) when he’s drained to death, or in the case that didn't happen he starves to death. Demande and the other’s were originally from earth so the wine they drink is more then likely from earth. And then if it didn't kill him but fuelled him or he became one with it, it would just royally bite them in the ass at a later date, which it had. 

Artemis, how did you know what he looked like? Did you look through your flash back machine? Clear he didn’t show it on screen for you to know about the black moon mark on his head.

Fuck you Toei, You could have had a shot of Mamoru face but you decided to too. I want Mamoru to look like he’s upset that Usagi’s gone. Mamoru is more expressive then this!

I wish would could have seen Mamoru clasping his hands and sending his thoughts that he would save her to Usagi. All we got was him looking at the broken rod and saying he would save her. 

I’m sorry Usagi, Mamoru’s the one’s that should be having thoughts about how that went. You were upset and Mamoru didn't quell your fears. In fact he made then worse by not wanting to watch Chibiusa together. You have all rights to be upset at him. Yes Usagi’s jealousy is not good but unlike other areas, Mamoru is just making it worse then making her feel better. This is the only Usagi where I don’t blame her jealousy on Chibiusa and I fully blame Mamoru for it. 

Usagi, you can’t have flash backs from times you weren't there. 

I ‘love’ it that in the Crystal Anime, she’s still in the position of crying into her hands but at this point in the manga, she was standing and getting her strength back (At the point where the flash back shows Chibiusa asking Usagi to save her mom)

Not sure if her thoughts on the scouts and Mamoru not talking is good or bad. 

Why couldn't Makoto say Sailor Moon? 

No! The Items should not light up! They are on a planet that absorbs power. It doesn't make sense for it too light up. 

So no corpse room? So the room is just going to drain them? Even though in the manga it had a clear source?

So Fuck Makoto? And Her Speaking Roles? She only got one. If your going to change the speaking roles at least divide them equally. 

Honestly in the Manga it was wise man who said the shit about the scouts being no longer needed. I don’t doubt that Demande was thinking it but honestly giving Demande all the lines from the Black Moon family just to make him into an outrageous ass instead of just a huge ass, is a dick move. 

Why so many shots of Chibiusa’s parents leaving her behind? In the manga it more comes off of her thinking fondly of them then her getting left behind.

So all it takes for Chibusa to steal the crystal is boys calling her a fake princess and saying ‘Come on you should be able to use the silver crystal’. This is also the same scene that caused her to cry where her father was sitting with her on the bench and comforting her. I highly doubt they would let those kids come again to harass Chibiusa when they already brought her to tears once. In the manga it was clear it was one time of harassment but they also commented about her not being her parents daughter. It was all at once and it made more sense why she decided to break the rules that severely.

I have this feeling they only kept the crush on the king so they could do the Black Lady thing...

The mark that was suppose to be on her forehead was the mark of the moon kingdom. Chibiusa wasn't mind controlled or forced into becoming Black Lady. She was convinced with some pretty words from Wise Man because she believed that she didn't belong. It was a contrast with her and her mother that fit nicely. Having her brain washed cheapens the whole thing but it’s not like Toei cares Ami’s introductory episode where she’s brain washed by a disc she wouldn't have used because it affected her mentally anyone?

Well you see, The Time warp has stretched her body in an awkward way where the only way her legs wouldn't have broken off is by her landing on the other’s and even then it didn't stop them from popping out awkwardly. Truely Time Travel is a horrifying thing.

I’m not going to lie - I was super happy to find that King Endymion’s outfit wasn’t lavender. I never liked the lavender suit in the 90s.

That’s the thing though. In the manga his outfit was a lavender as well so this is a case of Crystal diverting from the manga ... again

I got it. 

Sailor Moon Crystal is leading to a ultimate twist. Usagi becomes Black Lady and Chibiusa gains her inherited powers and her and Tuxedo Mask have to save Usagi. Part of the reason why it works because Mamoru gives an emotional and heartfelt speech where he tells her how he feels from the bottom of his heart, confirming that it only beats for her. 

And The inners come and kick major bad guy ass and show how utterly bad ass they are.

Sailor Moon Crystal Episode 20 Reaction

Chibiusa, you left Diana behind and she was compleely alive when you did so. Of course she’s alive. 

Now it’s a poor Chibiusa moment :( Going through your father like that must not be easy. 

... Oooookay, dramatic cape sounds on a guy who is pure spirit. Why not. 

Also at least in the Manga there is a reason his glasses are not falling off. In the Manga they have a ribbon tying them. Here not so much. 

Mamoru, I want more emotions from you, stat. 

Also learn fro your future self Mamoru. King Endymion I can believe is a father to Rini. You are still a creepy uncle.

Because of Previous scenes with Mamoru, his shock about finding out who Chibiusa is doesn't seem like it’s the same as why Usagi’s freaking out. If he get’s as emotional in scenes with Sailor Moon soon then it will be fine but... because Chibiusa and things involving her get the most emotion from him... ah it’s not the same like in the manga or even the other anime. 

And the having him the last one staring with Usagi babbering in the back ground, blocking her I might add, while Chibiusa is all blushy (which is understandable for her character) with roses around her. Doesn't help things. Stop it. Especially since even in the manga, Chibiusa had stopped blushing at that point. 

Minako’s reaction is cute though. 

With the information on King Endymion telling Chibiusa about Sailor Moon then she should have known right away that she was her future mother and by connection Tuxedo Mask was her dad. This point is never really well thought about in the manga or either animes, though in the 90′s one, wasn’t it that he told her tales of sailor moon but never connected it to her mother?

Diana again is Adorable <3 What a cute kitty. 

I wish Artemis was the main one with the extreme reaction but Luna has been painted with the brush of having extreme reactions so it can’t be helped. 

So Serenity’s hair becomes white when she assumes the Role as Queen. Interesting. 

More Emotions Minako! You are Angry! Upset! These people took your fellow scouts. 

Honestly I don’t know what Neo Queen Serenity was thinking. Sending a Criminal to a planet that screams ‘I will be a huge pain in your ass if you give me half the chance’ is not the brightest move. 

What the Black Moon did was horrible and wasn’t right to say the least. But it’s hardly surprising that not everyone would be okay with earthlings suddenly getting such long life spans.

Why take away the rest of Luna’s dialogue? She’s a smart kitty and could have finished it. 

Did Mamoru really have to join Usagi with the vanishing act? Minako didn’t go through and and technically her form is still in the castle just like Endymion’s. 

Amazing emotion there Endymion, not let’s see if your past self can match it. 

Aww, Sweet Father and Daughter moment. This is what I want from Mamoru. 

And then Mamoru ruins the moment. Yes I understand why he said he would protect her and in the original manga it felt like he wanted to protect her because she was his future daughter. Now if feels more dicey. 

Oh my goodness, they kept Pluto’s little crush. Yay. 

And Minako get’s another moment. Too Bad the other scouts didn’t get this sort of thing when they were around.

My heart hurts for Usagi when she has to confront Mamoru. In the manga and in the 90′s anime, I felt that Usagi was worried about nothing as Mamoru clearly loved her. Sometimes in Crystal I wonder. 

I know this part is mirroring the manga but I have never understood why he couldn't say let’s protect her together. 

Oh Fuck you Toei. You cut Minako’s time again. I know she’s getting more then the other scouts but don’t cut her short. 

Also, WHY THE HELL DIDN'T MAMORU SLEEP ON THE FUCKING COUCH! THERE WAS NO REASON FOR HIM TO SLEEP BY THE BED LIKE THAT. God Dammit Mamoru, sleeping on the couch isn't as bad and it also makes more sense why you din’t notice her sneaking off. 

And the open shirt to his bare chest isn't helping at all. In the manga he had a shirt on underneath so that isn't even an excuse. 

At least the moment between Pluto and Chibiusa is nice. 

I liked the interaction between the Black Moon clan. 

Well you see Usagi, the Princess rod is sick and tired of your lack luster twirl so of course it’s not going to work. 

As Demande and Usagi have there moment. Why is Demande giving Usagi more emotions then Mamoru. Mamoru you can make this stop. Emote Mamoru, you can do it. 

Sailor Venus screaming makes sense. If you aren’t reacting as badly in the next episode Mamoru then I question your commitment to this. 

Why do they keep making changes to the anime that work against the characters? I shouldn't be questioning Usagi and Mamoru’s relationship so much. I liked some of the things I got in this episode but it doesn’t out way the things that worked against it.

Super Late Sailor Moon Episode 19 reaction.

The ones with the most emotions are Luna, Artemis, Chibiusa and Usagi. Mamoru and Minako don’t seem to care as much as they should. 

Why did they add it like they bullied her into it? Technically Chibiusa should be willing to tell what she does know as it means that they are planning on helping her. 

In the Manga it’s more presented as Artemis calmly asking her as they would need the information to be able to know who they are fighting. 

No Minako picking up kitties :( Much sad. 

Also Chibiusa is against going back because she can’t face what she’s done just yet. Her being afraid is one thing but it makes what she will do in a later episode not make sense as it was something to cause her time to be so scary in the first place. The kid isn’t an idiot and taking the hand of something that screams ‘I am evil’ is not the smartest. 

Also why does darkness eat the girl’s eyes when they could be having an expressive moment?

The Shadow’s are leaking!

Mamoru, you don’t really have the time to waste but at least you... I can’t really call it urged, it was more of a ‘think of it if you wanna’ kind of thing. Usagi’s uber jealousy is a bit awkward but understandable in Crystal Usagi’s case, I mean Chibiusa’s gotten him to blush more times that she has ever.

And then Moon Pride hits xD That made me giggle as it was so off putting though at least it isn’t as bad as other times it’s come in (Like when something dramatic has happened)

Oh that’s nice Mamoru. I hope it just was how it was subbed ‘What a baby’? Really man? She’s a little child and you gave into her in the first place. 

Da Fuck did Luna-P come from! There was no lump in the previous shot and suddenly there it was. 

Why is Mamoru way more expressive around Chibiusa then his girlfriend?

 Okay Toei, why hid her in shadows? It’s not like it’s a big secret who her mom is, I mean it was kinda obvious in her little flash back. 

Mamoru, stop with those intense eyes. Go back to the gentle look

Cause without context and with how big they have drawn Chibiusa’s head, it looks like a guy getting intense with his girlfriend. This does not look like a look a guy who’s having fatherly feelings towards a kid. And The subtitles don’t help at all. I even went and asked a friend who has no knowledge of the series and got her to look at this. She said it looked like something that wasn’t g-rated.

DAMMIT MAMORU! STOP LOOKING AT HER SO INTENSELY, YOU’D BETTER DO BETTER THEN THIS FOR USAGI!

Okay Usagi can be upset all she wants with that. With how he was acting it could look wrong to someone who was just standing by the door. 

Usagi’s right to the chase, No ‘can I stay over too’, nope. We are talking about this shit right now. Though I kinda wish that they kept the cute asking him what he wanted for his birthday scene. 

... I want to say Yay for the blush but once again his emotion was caused by Chibiusa. When he has one of those moments with Usagi then it will be easier to celebrate. Right now it’s just awkward. 

More emotions Mamoru please. 

Really? Usagi has to be at the point of crying? And it’s not because she’s thinking of her friends, it’s because she wants to stay longer. Why the fuck couldn't think be asked before this? why?

And Why the fuck did she flicker like that? Why? In the Manga she was thinking of her friends and it got her upset and Mamoru embraced her because he wanted to comfort her. Nothing should have caused that expect maybe Mamoru’s mind fucking with him. Yes in the manga he said (thought?) she looked like she was going to disappear but I don’t think it was in the literal -Poof- she’s gone. More like she was emotionally growing distant for a moment and he panicked. If that happens when she get’s kidnapped or something like that where it can connect then it can be connected with something. 

Usagi, hunny, I don’t blame you for being insecure. Mamoru isn’t helping you in the slightest. 

Fuck Mamoru. Usagi’s pouring her heart out and you can’t give her the emotions that you gave your future kid. Where is the line ‘I didn’t realize you were this upset?’ Mamoru? Usagi’s the one fixing the things and you are just ‘Me too’ ing. 

Really? First we are blood blocked and now we are kiss blocked. 

Mamoru... your making out with the floor... or couch. She’s tilting her neck and you seem like you can’t be bothered. 

No Cute Minako moment :( And Artemis is talking to himself... at least in the manga he interacted with the others a bit before they dozed off. 

Luna isn’t suppose to forget though. And Queen Serenity telling her to forgot is utterly stupid as it’s Luna who would have had to have been the one to eventually tell Usagi about that do so she knew not to go through it. 

Yay Luna’s figuring things out.

I see how you toned down the scene in Chibiusa’s little flash back. 

Why in the name of all things good did you have to outline Chibiusa’s figure like that? She’s just a kid! 

More emotions from Mamoru towards Usagi. Yay keep it up Mamoru, doesn’t take away your creepy factor but yay. 

STOP OUTLINING HER FIGURE LIKE THAT GOD DAMMIT!

Why are they questioning it? She asked for your help and now she’s willing to take you there. Why was this needed and not the cute Minako scene?

Don’t worry, We’ll just super glue the Cat’s to our body so we don’t lose then to the time stream. 

The time travel animation was cool but Mamoru and Minako just seemed to random let go for no real reason.

Intense moment with the Black Moon clan. 

Esmeraude minions remind me of Kunzite. Actually they make me this of is Kunzite and Zoizite fucked and managed to have babies. 

Oh my god, Artemis what happened to your face. 

Really? You had Luna just say that and take off all willy nilly only to almost have the exact bad thing that could happen to her happen? Also Artemis now looks like a plush toy. 

Yay Pluto looks like an utter badass. 

... and then she had to wave her staff around like a maniac. Why couldn't she stand put and have the attack hit that way? Doing it the way she did it put’s her behind them and away from the door. What if it didn't work or they still had he strength to book it to the door?

... This reminds me of the fourth Harry Potter movie where Dumbledore yells at Harry. It doesn't make sense for Pluto to be yelling at her. Using a stern look and a firm tone but not yelling. 

Why hid their eyes? There is no point to it. 

I wish she had used her nickname first. Not her title. Though her knelling in front of Usagi makes some sense, it seemed like in the Manga she did it to Chibiusa because she felt she over stepped her self imposed boundaries. 

The Princess Chibiusa image was pretty cute and so was her little pose and finger snap. 

Poor Pluto though she looks like she’s having fun. 

The Poor people of earth, Shit keeps happening and it always wants all their energy. 

The dark crystal bunch is too big. With how many there are there it should be effecting them at that range. 

I guess Chibusa fainting makes some sense. 

They are leaving out bits and pieces but that’s hardly a surprise. 

No hearing Diana’s voice? Aww

The Boule brother’s have the best animation in the episode. So Pretty 

Sailor moon can’t move and yet she can twirl around her staff.

O.o Chibiusa’s eyes went all crosseyed and funky there. 

Esmeraude is such a delightful bitch. 

So random eye lasers of doom? It’s suppose to be her minions that make the explosion, not random eye lasers. 

Yes, Let’s break the bottom with no warning. Hope the girls land on their feet and not a shard. 

What your not letting Small Lady get hugs in first? Diana you more easily distracted the the last two versions of you. 

Another episode I didn't like. At least the things I did get to see were nice. Doesn't get rid of the creepiness of the Mamoru and Chibiusa interactions though.

Things I enjoyed vs things I didn’t enjoy Part 3

Sorry this took a bit. Things got busy over the weekend. 

Things I like:

Usagi’s Expressions. 

Artemis getting more of a roll and things to do, though I call bullshit on a cat his size being able to knock over a camera man. 

Chibiusa’s reaction to the earring. You clearly got that she was utterly terrified of the damn thing. 

Saphir attempting to bring logic into the situation and also calling Rubeus on his shit. 

Rubeus’s sass was a bit fun as I have never expected him to care about his underlings. 

The Black Moon talking about wise man and giving more information about him and where Demando got his third eye. 

Calaveras channelling her sisters.

Naru and Umino making an appearance again. 

Naru getting to keep her little speech was nice, showing that even though she didn't know why or how, she realized their was a growing gap between them. 

Venus get’s an attack they have been putting off showing. 

Chibusa’s ‘bitch I will cut you’ look when Usagi demands her brooch back.

Tuxedo Mask using ‘La Smoking Bomber’

Chibiusa telling them things and asking them to help save her home. 

Things I didn't like or things I hated; 

Minako’s lack of emotion. She just stares. She doesn't get overly upset or even look angry, even when she is giving what is suppose to be an anger speech. The more emotional she sounds, they have her facing away so you don’t get to see her having these strong emotions. She had more of an upset look when Kunzite died. 

Cutting out Minako’s dialogue which would have shown where she was at the moment. 

Mamoru knowing about things that he wasn't there to witness. For all he knew, she could have dangled it somewhere else. 

The Cat’s sizes keep growing and shrinking. Luna can’t be the size of a kitten and the size of a median size dog. 

Luna and Artemis not bothering to scan the earring

I know Minako was planning on questioning Chibiusa, but even she’d have more sense then to do it in front of the kids new friend. She shouldn't have looked so sinister.

Mamoru suddenly holding the earring is a mild annoyance as it was suppose to be Luna who carried it but I suppose that would have been awkward to animate. 

The fact that all of the Black Moon sister’s besides Koan, couldn't hid themselves from people to save their lives. 

I don’t like that Usagi’s mom just fluffed off due to plot. 

Mamoru’s lack of emotions. 

Usagi’s phrasing after she asks Chibiusa if she’s the enemy. If you won’t cooperate? Really Usagi? Even you know better then to do that to a child. How she said it in the manga made alot more sense. Because it was an issue of trust and if they couldn't trust each other to be honest to each other. 

Mamoru and Minako looking like they clearly did not give a flying fuck as Usagi ran off. 

I wish they had gone with Naru asking Unimo to hunt the video down. It made it look like she was actively planning it. Random isn’t bad but it just made Umino look creepy again. Also Calaveras on the cover should have sent Usagi into a fit with the marking on her forehead.

I never did like the leaving Naru behind in the old anime or manga. At least in the old anime you saw her moving on with Umino and it didn't feel like Usagi was basically abandoning one friend to go around others. 

Minako not realizing that Calaveras is from the Black Moon initially even though her mark is clearly visible. 

I absolutely hated seeing the general’s crystals. In the episode where they blocked the sword, they didn't crumble, they turned to dust. There was nothing left of them in that scene. Also I don’t think the animators did research on the stones in question before they put them there. 

Mamoru’s face looks odd when he’s talking to the generals. 

In the manga, the general’s all appeared in different poses, still being respectful but it was clear that they were all individuals. If this was my first introduction to them, I would think that they were a hive mind with Kunzite at the head. 

I don’t like how Mamoru didn't ex knowledge the other scouts being there to help protect Usagi, like he’s the only one bothering or something. 

Minako not transforming before she called out Calaveras on her shit, Honestly? What the fuck. Minako should know better. 

Why show her the sisters? It wouldn't  make her hesitant. In the manga she was shown the other scouts and i affected her as it should. 

The attack that Venus get’s it made utterly useless because she attacked the see through CHANNELLED sisters, instead of attacking the fleshy one that might have been effected. 

Venus’s lack of trying to fight back and her passion to defeat Calaveras to get her friends back. 

The fact that Usagi casually walks over to get the brooch. There is a high chance to Minako could have been walking into a trap. Now is not the time for slow walking. 

The fact that big attacks like ‘La Smoking Bomber’ and The Scouts ‘Planet attack’ seem to be around the same level of power, which is sad because the planet attack is suppose to be an attack combining the power of four scouts. 

The fact that Usagi didn’t waste Calaveras like she did the other sisters. Why not do the same thing there? 

Odd things I noticed;

So being a scout means you can defy gravity at random?

Artemis has joined Luna in looking like anything but a cat. Though Luna has alot more anime impressions under her belt. 

Artemis is also trying to fight Luna on having the best booty in Sailor Moon. 

Wiseman’s voice actor not knowing whether he should be going for the creepy old uncle or the voice he had been doing before.

O.o Jadeite... you can’t smell... you are a rock. 

Artemis’s ability to stick to a tree without his claws. Though Luna isn't much better.

Mamoru can pimp slap the best with his cane, but if you put a sword in his hand he becomes worse then useless.

In the end Naru is one of the character’s I feel bad for as she wants to so badly help her friend, even if she doesn't know what is going on. She is losing her best friend and will never know why. I wish that Mamoru would gain back emotions and stop sucking away all of Minako’s emotions. 

... And Honestly I wish that they had never kept the general alive as long as they did. They didn't do anything with them and basically just taunted the inner scouts with a ‘love’ that they will never have. Dick move Toei, Dick move.

Sailor Moon Crystal Episode 18 Reactions

Usagi is still floating in the air with no reason to how she can suddenly hover. She’s trying to be super man. 

Wtf Happened to Artemis?

I don’t like this episode. It was nice to see Tuxedo Kamen’s attack as well as the attack of Sailor Venus’s that they were putting off putting into the series. But everything else... Chibiusa and the cat’s were the only character’s I really liked in this episode.

Luna and Artemis in Sailor Moon Crystal.

At this point I honestly wouldn't be surprise if some part of the fandom started to ship Mamoru and Luna. 

Honestly I did like Luna's role in the 90's anime. She was a hard teacher who cared greatly about the scouts. At times Luna was too harsh but she would apologize when she was. Luna was trying to prepare them for the evil coming and protecting the princess. 

In Crystal I honestly felt sorry for Luna. Her role was more of the big sister who's trying to get her younger sister to go on the right path but relents whenever her sister get's upset at her. Usagi did not treat Luna well at least within most of the Dark Kingdom arc. Usagi should not have lashed out at Luna when Luna told her to be cautious. It's not like Luna was making horrible demands of Usagi, she just wanted her to remember that a mistake of telling someone the group doesn't know that they can trust can be hazardous for the group. 

There is a scene where Usagi says that Luna always says no. I wished Usagi had taken five minutes to stop and realize that maybe there had been a reason why it was always no. It wasn't like it's beyond Usagi's ability, both previous versions at least tried for Luna. The second season has teached Luna much better but the only time I got a sense on how much Luna and Usagi needed each was during the final fight against Metillia when Usagi stopped giving up and Luna prayed so much she became human for a moment. 

As for Artemis. For him the season season is treating him pretty bad. The first season he destroyed a giant crystal and was trying to Minako's voice of reason.... even though he shouldn't have had at act as that role. Minako only had to hid the past and that's the only thing Artemis would have made her do. Also that Amazing feat of him busting that huge crystal? He had never done anything that big again. At least with the manga he had broken the tip of a smaller crystal point where if it had been stabbed into Usagi, It would have killed her but it wasn't over the top. 

When Luna get's attacked by Mamoru, he's not right at her side. This is someone who has major feelings for Luna and honestly you don't get much of an idea that they could be something more then just opposite companion animals until Artemis complements Luna's human form. 

Also his relationship with Minako, you would not have been able to tell through their interactions within Crystal at how close they really are. You'd have to read the Sailor V manga for the best idea or the Sailor Moon manga for a general idea. Her crying with him when they were revived was sweet but it was lack luster due to the lack of development their relationship had. 

And then the season season hit. Where they had written him out of scenes (The Scene where the scouts get there new transformation pens), Blocked him by the scenery (The scene where Mercury is playing chess. Yes he is there, he's just blocked by a screen), or only had him around because he needed to give exposition (Scene after Usagi and Chibiusa get their Sailor V dolls). 

I wish that during the scenes where Luna was hurt that Artemis had gone over and gave Luna licks when he was checking on her. And Seriously checking on her, not just staring at her. 

I hope that they develop more of the cat's personalities and we get to see more of Artemis in the coming episodes. At least have a few cute scenes between Artemis and Luna. Usagi's Mama and Papa are awesome and all but we know that they are in a loving relationship.

It's true though, all the evil cookies. My favorite villian from the Black Moon Family is Saphir attually. I can't blame Demande for having his view on the Moon Kingdom though. His people were treated as traitors and thieves because of the things their ancestors had done. What If they had wanted to change for the better? Would Serenity have heard then out? or Sent then away due to the sins of people long dead.

It doesn't excuse what Demande does, even with Wise Man's influence but it's interesting to think more into this sort of thing. Though someone paying for the sins of the past isn't pleasant. Maybe Demande would have had a different view if things had been different.

Update on Makoto's Character Post

-sighs- We haven't really gained back anything we lost with this episode. Yes we do have the fact that her parents have died but that should have came earlier. We don't have Makoto acting silly or giving use some silly puns. To be fair though, the girl was basically sick all episode. We lost out on her interacting with Motoki's sister and her going into the reason why she wasn't able to lie to  Asanuma. Also how she put the sentence, it seems like any friendship she had before Usagi was not important or worth while. 

Her best moments in this episode were when she was interacting with Asanuma and honestly I'm wondering why none of her friends sent her home to rest sooner. They did show all sorts of plants in her home but as far as we know, she could have bought them all. Also there is a clear lack of cute things as well as the colour pink in her home.

Things I enjoyed Vs. Things I did not. 2

 Things that I liked;

-Usagi's expressions and overreactions. 

- Brief moment of Chibiusa losing her pouty 'Should not be on a child' lips

- Chibiusa and Usagi's interactions

- Sailor V Dolls

- Minako asking if Makato had a cold.

- Chibiusa and Usagi's moment with the dolls.

- Luna cheering Usagi up. 

- Usagi's parents are aborable <3 I loved their interactions.

- Chibiusa's trick with the Umbrella.

- Prince Demande's art work initially made him look like a badass but they keep making him look more and more cute as time wears on. I like this but I'm sure those who appreciated how he initially looked must be pissed or at least annoyed. 

- Someone finally noticed the god damned talking cat! And The look on the poor kids face as he's over hearing all this stuff. 

- Makoto giving off static electricity when she's sick. They kinda had to keep in the getting sick part but it's good they kept the static electricity part. 

- The scene between Makoto and Asanuma is cute, even if it comes off more as a kid with a crush and the older girl kinda humouring him. 

- Asanuma saying he won't tell anyone her secret. It's sweet.

- Rubeus wasted no time in taking Jupiter.

Things that I didn't like;

- The people at Sailor Moon Crystal doing their best to write out Motoki's sister. Are they afraid that she will take over the show?

- The Animation on alot of the faces (and other things)

- Mamoru's lack of reactions besides smiling and nodding and frowning. He had more expressions in the Manga and 90's anime.

- The fact the animations can't draw consistently and it's blatant with Minako standing next to the poster of Sailor V..

- Then taking out more Dialogue of the scouts actually discussing the issue at hand. 

- Why did no one tell Makoto to go home and rest, hell send Minako to tie her to the bed with her whip if need be. 

- Lack of the original pen and the huge size of the new one. The Pens seem to like to grow and pretend they are the Moon Wand. Also I'm starting to doubt that the animators know what the wands look like. 

- Motoki not freaking out that Chibiusa has cheated the machine and Mamoru being totally okay with it. 

- Luna and Artemis's lack of worry about a potentional enemy getting into the command centre. 

- Usagi being a flaming hypocrite at her comments about if they can trust Chibiusa or not. I'm sorry Usagi but you have lost all rights to judge with the way you acted last season. If you had listened and tried to work with Luna like your manga counterpart then this would be fine. But you didn't. You yelled at Luna for daring to say that Mamoru might be an enemy and put the other's in danger. 

- The added flash back about her parents was awkward. Her Parents were busy alot but they made time for her whenever they could. Plus in a case like this why wouldn't they get her to come over there? They aren't ashamed of her at all. This would have made more sense if it was a private time and Chibiusa was jealous that they spent it with each other instead of her.

- I didn't like the fact that Chibiusa threw her umbrella to the side right after the trick, why change Luna-P if you aren't going to use the damn umbrella?

- Why doesn't Mamoru have his Umbrella? With the school he goes to I high doubt he can afford getting sick. 

- I hate the fact they took out Saphir's scene. Saphir is one of the few rational people within their Kingdom and he show's his dislike for what his brother is doing quite a few times during this arc.

- The fact that the Hologram is frowning. Demande would have never gotten the real Queen to put herself in that position and with a Hologram it would make sense for him to have her smiling. It would work with his ego.

- I don't like that they took out someone taking Makoto to a drug store to get her the medicine. It let us know that it was a virus that was hitting the entire city. 

- I didn't like that they left out the flowers that she liked to grow. It was just a bunch of green plants. Also I don't think it was up to the Makoto cute standards. 

- I do like that they have shown Mamoru having more powers but by removing the scene where  Asanuma noticed him healing him forced them to leave out the scene where Makoto explained about Mamoru's abilities. This annoys me. 

- I hate that they left out the reason why Makoto couldn't lie to Asanuma. It wa because he reminded her of a good friend she left behind when she moved. It adds to her character that she had friends before and can realize mistakes she has made in the past. 

- I don't like how she said friends instead of companions. It's like any friendship she has had in the past is suddenly not important because she found new better friend. 

- Time drag by having all the remaining scouts go through their transformation sequence. 

- Why break the window? Hopefully Ami can help her with the repair bill as I'm not sure Makoto can pay that on her own. 

- Venus wasn't attacking while Sailor Moon was using her rod on Petz. 

Weird things I noticed:

-Chibiusa's outfit seems to change in the rain. A bit odd.

-Petz boobs. They keep changing shape and make no sense. They can't get them right and in one scene they become torpedo boobs, without the cone bra. Ouch.

- That Wink was weird in the Manga and It's weird in the anime. Buuuut Makoto's sick so it can be excused. 

-Rei looks annoyed in Makoto's flash back. 

- Where the hell is the dramatic breeze coming from when Makoto kisses Asanuma's forehead?

- Luna's at least twice as big as she usually is in the scene at the window. What now Luna wants to add Dog on her list of animal impersonations? (Can't beat Seal Luna or apparently Bat Luna xD)

- Same Healing Animation as an earlier episode. Kinda annoying as it wasn't even good.

In the end, I didn't really like this episode. The stuff we found out what stuff we could or should have learnt about earlier, they took out things they shouldn't have and things they took out earlier are chewing on their ass. It wasn't a good Makoto episode as most of the episode wasn't about her and when it got to her turn it was again near the end of the episode.

Sailor Moon Crystal 17 reactions

I don't know why but Moon Pride so suddenly made me feel a bit awkward. Weird. 

D'aww Usagi tried to beat Luna-P to death. The expression was pretty good. And YES! The Animator's forgot Chibiusa's lip gloss of doom! Stay away for good!

Dammit It's back again. Short lived disappearance. 

Usagi's expressions are nice to see. Also the look Chibiusa's giving her is kinda funny. The look of 'really bitch?'

I think I'm getting a bit spoiled by Usagi's expressions... I'm worried.

Okay I don't mind the Minako and Makoto interaction but isn't this suppose to happen around Motoki's sister? I'm still holding out hope for seeing her. 

I understand why they used the new transformation pen, though honestly with how big they keep making them they don't seem like they'd be able to act as pens, but I wouldn't have minded seeing Minako's old pen once more. It would be like her keeping it as a memory of the past. 

Am I the only one who can't see Motoki saying Damn around a kid? Or Maybe I'm just odd. 

Mamoruuuu, Your not suppose to be supporting her fucking the system. I want more emotions from you too. 

And Motoki how can you calm about that? Honestly most people wouldn't be able to get a huge armful like that. But I guess It fits with his rather laid back personality...

Ohmygosh! Sailor V Dolls! Yes! >w< Poor Motoki though, It's almost like he's going 'Don't play any more games Chibiusa, have a free doll. And Usagi a free doll for you so you don't kick the shit out of that machine'

Look they let Artemis be on the scene. Poor guy's air time has been severally cut. But why are the cat's super happy looking? This kind might be a problem but they have the look of 'It's okay Usagi, what harm could a child that may have brought our currently villians here and is stealing away all the other scouts?'. Why take out Artemis and Luna discussing genuine worry?

The smile and the wink when talking about Chibiusa cheering up Usagi made sense tho.In Crystal Luna was already sunshine and rainbows. In the manga she was trying to cheer Usagi up which makes more sense but yah.

Artemis is trying to steal Luna's spot as best seal but he's not there yet. 

Usagi has moment's of questioning Chibiusa's loyalty, which is natural but when it came to Mamoru she might as well have ran from Luna screaming 'I can't hear you, I can't hear you. LALALALALA' with her fingers stuffed in her ears. Amazing what happens when you don't want to bone the person. 

As Much as I love Usagi's Mama and Papa, I don't approve of cutting short scout interactions. Especially plot related ones. 

Usagi's parents are super cute though. 

That flash back. It's awkward. It's like her parents forced her to the side but they aren't the type to do that. Plus it looks like she's almost jealous of her mom when the kiss happens. This does not need to be a thing. Her going after Mamoru makes some sense as he's not technically her father yet. Still odd and awkward but not as bad as her mind controling her father in her time (Not by much but still). I hope I'm just reading too much into this but still. 

Why did Chibiusa throw away her Umbrella like that? It's raining and she changed Luna-P for a reason. Also Mamoru where the heck is your umbrella?

Demande keeps looking more bishie and squeezable every time I see him. 

And then they took out the interaction with Saphir. Why? To make it easier when they kill them? Is Demande and the General's the only ones allowed back story?

That frown on the Hologram's face. It's a Hologram so it would make more sense to have her still smiling. It's not like he would have been able to convince Neo Queen Serenity to get in that pose. 

Okay, Usagi's expressions are cute but, she's being a raging hypocrite here. This is the same girl who put the lives of her friends in danger because she felt she could trust someone who admitted he could be an enemy. She has no right to be asking anyone this question. 

FINALLY! Someone noticed the cat who can't keep her trap shut. You'd think Luna would know better then to be so loud. Give 90's Luna credit, at least she whispered in the scouts ears if she really needed to talk to someone. 

Poor Kid. Just find out his Sempai hangs around an talking cat and a girl who has enemies of the odd kind. 

Why isn't Makoto wearing the mask? She's coughing much more then she was the last day. 

They are determined to write out Motoki's sister completely out of the series. 

The impression that you'd get here is that she's talking about her old crush. She's not, she's talking about her best friend before she moved. He reminds her of someone who gave alot to her but she wasn't able to give as much as she wanted back. 

The interaction is cute but I don't see it more then just a strong friendship. He's a sweet heart though, promising to keep her secret for her. 

God Damn Petz breasts looked strange in that scene. The panning up shot and how the breasts look like torpedo boobs. 

ARGH! Just let Makoto be the one to transform and have the other's transform off scene. You did that for Mercury, why not here? Time Wasting! Stop It!

At Least with them being stuck behind a door there would be a reason for them not to get to her in time.
